IX peering service 400Gbps (Helsinki or Oslo) is the monthly fee for public peering bandwidth delivered over an already purchased port at Netnod IX Helsinki or Netnod IX Oslo. Single service is 40000 SEK/month and redundant service is 78000 SEK/month for the same bandwidth tier. This peering service fee does not include port access; the overall monthly cost is port access plus the selected service(s) delivered over the port. The bandwidth tier defines the service capacity for exchanged peering traffic at that IX, while redundant service is typically used together with redundant ports for resilience.
Netnod's Internet Exchange services are positioned as layer-2 interconnection delivered over Ethernet, with the Netnod One Port framework separating port access from the services delivered over that port. Netnod is a neutral, independent internet infrastructure operator based in Solna (Stockholm area, same city with Arelion) and fully owned by the non-profit foundation TU-stiftelsen. They have been running key parts of the Nordic internet since 1996, and today they work with a compact team of a few dozen specialists rather than at mass-market scale.
