The company became netcup GmbH in 2008 and has belonged to the Anexia group since 2016. Alexander Windbichler and Oliver Werner manage the company today. From its early hosting roots, netcup has grown to around 400 employees, more than 200,000 customers, over 500,000 hosting products, and approximately 400,000 managed domains.

Root Servers include snapshots, a remote console, IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity, DDoS protection and network interfaces reaching up to 2.5 Gbps depending on the package. Domain registration is another significant part of netcup's business. More than 450 TLDs are supported, and the company maintains direct relationships or accreditations with important registries including DENIC, nic.at, EURid and SWITCH. Domain registration, transfers, DNS administration and DNSSEC can all be handled through the customer account.
