MyHost is a long-established New Zealand hosting provider with roots going back to 2000. The business became part of SiteTech Group (sitetech.co.nz) in 2009, while continuing to focus on hosting and infrastructure located in New Zealand. SiteTech Group later acquired WebSliceNZ (webslice.com) in 2017, and the MyHost and WebSliceNZ operations were consolidated under the MyHost brand in 2021. The wider group also operates SiteHost and other New Zealand hosting and infrastructure businesses.

The current operating company is MyHost 2009 Limited, a New Zealand limited company owned by SiteTech Solutions Limited. MyHost 2009 Limited was incorporated in September 2009 and operates under NZBN 9429031949316 and company number 2316282. Nathan Russ and Quintin Russ have been associated with the company as directors since its incorporation, while the MyHost hosting brand itself dates back to 2000.

MyHost serves more than 9,000 customers and has developed into a broad hosting provider rather than remaining focused only on conventional shared hosting. Its portfolio includes Web Hosting, WordPress Hosting, Reseller Hosting, Email Hosting, VPS, cPanel Servers, Dedicated Servers, Colocation, Managed Services, Domain Registration and a Website Builder.

Standard Web Hosting is available in Small, Medium and Large packages. Small supports two websites, Medium supports four and Large supports eight. The plans include unlimited storage, unlimited bandwidth, unlimited databases, unlimited FTP accounts, email hosting, automatic SSL certificates and daily backups, with a 250,000-file limit. Backups are kept offsite for 14 days. Medium and Large customers also receive telephone support during business hours, while email and ticket support are available across the hosting range.

WordPress Hosting follows the same three-package structure and is optimized for WordPress. The platform uses NVMe-backed infrastructure together with current PHP and MySQL support, automatic SSL certificates, daily backups and New Zealand hosting. It works well for blogs, business websites and WooCommerce projects that need local hosting without moving to a fully managed cloud platform.

Reseller Hosting covers both developer-oriented and conventional reseller requirements. The Developer package uses addon domains inside a shared cPanel environment, while the Professional Reseller packages provide separate cPanel accounts together with WHM access. Personal Email includes two mailboxes and 2 GB of storage, Group Email provides ten mailboxes and 10 GB, while Business Email supports unlimited mailboxes and storage subject to fair-use conditions. IMAP, POP3 and encrypted TLS/SSL connections are available together with forwarding, auto-responders, spam filtering and backups.

The unmanaged VPS range starts with 1 vCPU, 512 MB RAM and 20 GB storage and scales to 3 vCPU, 2 GB RAM and 60 GB storage. Each VPS includes a dedicated IP address, root access, unmetered New Zealand traffic and a defined international traffic allowance. Available operating systems include Ubuntu, Debian and AlmaLinux. Extra IPv4 addresses, storage, bandwidth, CPU, RAM, cPanel/WHM licensing and server management can be added when required.

For customers who need a managed multi-site environment, cPanel Servers combine virtual-server resources with CloudLinux, WHM and cPanel licensing. Managed services, domestic bandwidth, databases, SSL and monitoring are included, making these servers a more convenient option for agencies and businesses that do not want to maintain the complete server stack themselves.

Dedicated Servers provide physical hardware hosted in Auckland. The entry DED1 configuration uses an Intel E3-1230 processor, 8 GB RAM and mirrored 480 GB SSD storage, while DED2 uses an AMD Ryzen 9 7900, 32 GB RAM and mirrored 1.92 TB SSD storage. Both include a private VLAN, a /29 IPv4 allocation with three usable addresses, unmetered national bandwidth under fair-use conditions and 250 GB of international transfer. Managed Services can be added separately.

Colocation is an important part of the portfolio because MyHost operates its own Auckland data centre through the SiteTech group. Options range from 1U through 5U and quarter-rack space, with half-rack and full-rack deployments available by quotation. Standard inclusions cover a private VLAN, /29 address block, IPMI/iLO/RSA connectivity and 1 Gbps Ethernet. National and international transfer are unmetered subject to fair-use conditions.

Managed Services start at a separate monthly fee and include 24/7/365 monitoring, incident response, access to on-call engineers, server tuning, software package updates and proactive operating-system security patching. This extends MyHost beyond conventional website hosting into managed business infrastructure.

Domain registration covers .nz, .au, .com and many other extensions. DNS management is included and domain transfers are free where registry rules permit it. WHOIS privacy can be added for supported domain extensions. Some hosting bundles also include a qualifying domain free for the first year.

The Website Builder is intended for users who prefer visual site creation rather than WordPress or manual coding. It includes responsive templates, click-and-type editing, web and email hosting, unlimited pages, storage and traffic. SEO settings, forms, maps, social media integrations and common website components can be added directly through the builder.
