Minim is a long-established Japanese web hosting service operated by Netgroove Works Co., Ltd. (netgroove.ne.jp), a company based in Ushiku, Ibaraki Prefecture. Netgroove Works dates back to 2001 and is led by Representative Director Hidetoshi Tokuda. The company also works with domain registration, website development, website management, and related Internet services, and operates as a registered telecommunications business under number A-13-4674.

Minim is strongly focused on the Japanese market. The website, manuals, hosting administration environment, and customer-support information are available in Japanese, and no complete multi-language/localized version exists. Services are priced in Japanese yen (JPY), with Japanese consumption tax included. Hosting contracts are intended for customers residing in Japan, so this is primarily a domestic hosting service rather than an international platform.

The product range covers Shared Hosting, single-machine hosting, mailing-list hosting, SSL hosting, Domain Registration, DNS management, Email, Webmail, WordPress hosting features, and several related website-management services. Larger packages progress through 6 GB and 15 GB configurations and reach a 50 GB Premium plan supporting as many as 300 domains, 500 mail accounts, and thirty databases.

The Exclusive service uses a one-contract-per-machine concept with 50 GB storage. It provides greater isolation than ordinary shared hosting and is suited to customers requiring a more dedicated server environment without moving to a conventional unmanaged VPS.

Minim also has a specialized acmailer range designed for newsletter and mailing-list operations. acmailer Light, Basic, and Plus provide approximately 35 GB, 50 GB, and 70 GB storage respectively, with estimated daily sending capacities ranging from 12,000 to 48,000 messages. Each contract operates on its own machine, and the acmailer software can be used without the standard copyright display. This gives Minim a useful niche for Japanese organizations that need legitimate bulk-mail functionality without maintaining their own mail platform.

The SSL series combines hosting with commercial Sectigo certificates. The SSL plan includes 10 GB storage and one certificate slot, while SSL Plus! increases capacity to 30 GB and supports up to five certificate slots. Regular hosting customers can also use free Let's Encrypt SSL, so paid SSL-oriented packages are mainly relevant when a commercial certificate is specifically required.

Application installation is supported for software including WordPress, Movable Type, EC-CUBE, CS-Cart, Joomla, concrete5, baserCMS, PukiWiki, Zenphoto, and acmailer. Domain services are handled through the Minim Domain Manager and include new registrations, renewals, transfers, restoration procedures, DNS management, and integration with hosting accounts. Eligible domain services can also be combined with a free server option.

The technical environment is more traditional than that of modern developer-oriented hosting platforms. PHP versions including 7.4, 7.3, and 5.6 and MySQL 5.5/5.6 remain part of the hosting specifications. SSH and Telnet access are not available, while CRON support is limited to specific applications. Developers requiring shell access, Git-based deployment, containers, or VPS-style administrative control will therefore find the service restrictive.

Traffic is not billed directly per gigabyte, although normal usage is expected to remain around 1 GB per day / 30 GB per month. Accounts generating unusually heavy traffic or excessive server load can be restricted. Minim is therefore better suited to conventional websites and email workloads than high-traffic media delivery or resource-intensive applications.

All hosting plans include a 14-day free trial. Commercial websites are permitted, while adult content, hosting resale, unauthorized bulk mailing, streaming-heavy applications, and other resource-intensive or prohibited uses are restricted.
