MI.COM.CO is a Colombian domain registrar, web hosting provider and business email specialist operated by Central Comercializadora de Internet S.A.S. The company was incorporated in 2009 in Bogotá under NIT 900.293.637-2, with Gerardo Aristizábal Peraza appointed as manager when the company was established. Its activities are particularly focused on the Colombian market, with Spanish-language service, billing in Colombian pesos and electronic invoicing compatible with local business requirements.

Domain registration is one of its strongest areas. MI.COM.CO operates as an accredited ICANN (icann.org) registrar and supports more than 100 domain extensions. Customers can register, renew and transfer domains, manage DNS records, use automatic renewal and obtain WHOIS privacy where applicable. Domain transfers use the standard EPP/Auth-code process and normally extend the registration period by one additional year.

The main hosting service is Hybrid Web Hosting, divided into Starter, Advanced and Elite packages. Starter configurations range from 1 GB to 4 GB of storage with 1 vCPU and 1 GB RAM, while Advanced plans range from 5 GB to 9 GB with 2 vCPU and 2 GB RAM. Elite plans cover 10 GB to 60 GB and include 3 vCPU with 3 GB RAM. Depending on the package, customers can host from a few websites up to 25 domains.

The platform uses NVMe SSD storage, unlimited traffic, daily automated backups and free SSL certificates. Accounts are managed through cPanel, while the server environment combines CloudLinux (cloudlinux.com), Imunify360 (imunify360.com) and LiteSpeed (litespeedtech.com). Free SSL is provided through Let's Encrypt (letsencrypt.org). The hosting environment supports PHP, Node.js, Python and Ruby, along with WordPress and other popular applications installed through Softaculous.

CloudLinux account isolation and defined CPU and RAM limits give the hosting platform a more structured resource model than very basic shared hosting. Imunify360 adds malware scanning, brute-force protection and additional server security, while LiteSpeed improves performance for WordPress and other dynamic applications. Storage, CPU and RAM can also be increased as requirements grow.

Amazon AWS technology is also used within the wider infrastructure. This gives MI.COM.CO access to cloud-based components alongside its conventional hosting environment.

Corporate Email is another important product family. Plans are available for 1, 5, 10 or 50 mailboxes, commonly with 25 GB of storage per mailbox. The service includes antispam and antivirus filtering, webmail, mailbox administration and secure IMAP, POP3 and SMTP connectivity. Outlook, Thunderbird and Apple Mail are supported, and assisted email migration is available.

The company also offers MiConstructor, a visual website-building service for customers who prefer to create a website without manually managing a CMS. Básico, Profesional and E-commerce levels are available, with templates, drag-and-drop editing, social-network integration, contact forms, Google Maps integration and SSL. The E-commerce version adds online-store capabilities and external payment gateway support, including PayU, PayPal and MercadoPago. A seven-day trial is available for testing the builder.

MI.COM.CO remains especially convenient for Colombian customers because services are sold in COP, the customer area and documentation are in Spanish, local payment methods are supported and electronic invoices can be generated for Colombian accounting. No multi-language/localized version exists, so customers who do not read Spanish have a less convenient experience.
