jweiland.net is a German web hosting and TYPO3 services company founded in January 2003 by Jochen Weiland. The business is headquartered in Filderstadt near Stuttgart and operates as jweiland.net e.K., with Jochen Weiland as owner. Its TYPO3 experience goes back even further, to around 2001/2002, when Weiland began working intensively with the CMS and helping users install it on dedicated servers. Shared TYPO3 hosting followed, and hosting became his full-time business in 2006. The company now manages more than 36,000 hosted domains and combines hosting with consulting, development, upgrades and ongoing TYPO3 support.

The company is strongly specialized rather than trying to compete as a generic mass-market host. Its current portfolio centers on Shared Cloud Hosting, with Cloud START, BASIC, PREMIUM and POWER as the main packages, followed by the larger Cloud POWER PLUS and Cloud SERVER options. The older Classic Hosting packages continue to serve existing customers but are no longer available for new orders. Customers needing substantially more resources can move through the larger managed Cloud tiers up to Cloud SERVER.

Cloud START provides 1 vCPU, 2 GB RAM and 10 GB NVMe SSD storage and is suitable for smaller websites. Cloud BASIC increases this to 2 vCPU, 4 GB RAM and 30 GB storage, Cloud PREMIUM provides 4 vCPU, 8 GB RAM and 100 GB, while Cloud POWER includes 8 vCPU, 24 GB RAM and 200 GB. Storage is shared between websites, email and backups, while database capacity is handled separately. Larger packages can also receive additional storage in 10 GB increments.

One of the strongest technical advantages is the broad PHP compatibility. PHP versions from 5.1 through 8.5 can be configured independently for individual domains and subdomains, which is useful for agencies maintaining older websites alongside current projects. MariaDB 10.11, MariaDB 10.3 and MySQL 5.6 are available. SSH access is included with all hosting plans, SFTP is supported, and cron jobs can run as frequently as once per minute.

TYPO3 remains the main area of specialization. TYPO3 13.4 is available preinstalled together with an empty project and a prepared template, while the TYPO3 Toolkit simplifies routine administration. The hosting environment also supports WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, Shopware, Magento and other PHP applications. WordPress Toolkit and SEO Toolkit are included with the current shared plans, while managed Solr search is available from Cloud PREMIUM upward and can be expanded with additional Solr cores.

Website creation is available through the integrated Site.pro builder. It includes more than 230 templates, drag-and-drop editing, responsive previews for different screen sizes and the ability to start from a blank layout or import an existing website.

The broader portfolio includes domain registration, email hosting, SSL certificates, managed Solr, CDN, website migration, TYPO3 upgrades, TYPO3 ELTS, web development, consulting and remote assistance. A free Cloud DEVELOPER environment is also available for web developers for three months and terminates automatically unless it is converted into a regular hosting package.

TYPO3 upgrade services are a substantial part of the business. Existing installations can be checked before an upgrade, fully upgraded to newer TYPO3 versions or kept operational through TYPO3 ELTS where appropriate. Development services include technical implementation, UI/UX work, SEO and ongoing project support. jweiland.net is also a Platinum Member of the TYPO3 Association.
