ITConnect Scandinavia AB combines web hosting with the wider role of an outsourced IT department for Swedish businesses. Founder Yngve Josefsson established the company in 2000, initially dividing his time between consulting and a small hosting operation run from a basement. The business became a limited company in 2004, added its first technician in 2006, and enlarged its customer base by acquiring the OTN and VSIL hosting operations. Its infrastructure strategy took a major step in 2009 with the acquisition of the Kålgårdsberget premises in Uddevalla for data-center use.

Three WordPress maintenance agreements can supplement the hosting. Säkerhetsavtal Standard handles automatic WordPress and plug-in updates, recovery when an update fails, replacement of an abandoned plug-in, monthly reporting, vulnerability checks, and performance comparisons before and after updates. Säkerhetsavtal Stor adds Business-level hosting, uptime monitoring, SEO-position checks, broken-link detection, continuous database optimization, and a more extensive Google Analytics-linked report. Säkerhetsavtal Premium includes two hours of monthly image or text changes, highest-priority support, and the hosting charge. These options turn a basic account into a more hands-off service without disguising site maintenance as a different hosting platform.

The Domain Registration operation has managed thousands of domains since 2004 and is accredited for commonly used extensions. It covers registration, transfer, renewal, owner and contact changes, nameserver changes, cancellation, and DNSSEC requests. Every registration includes unlimited DNS records without an additional charge, and primary through quaternary DNS arrangements are available. Planned DNS changes can be coordinated for migrations. Domains follow an automatic-renewal process, so an unpaid invoice must never be treated as a cancellation request.

The Remote Desktop platform moves applications, files, and internal systems onto Swedish servers. Connections are encrypted, the complete environment is backed up daily, and ITConnect handles migration through its Click & Cloud process. A disrupted Internet session can continue when connectivity returns. Hosted Exchange similarly keeps email, contacts, calendars, and shared folders in the Uddevalla data center. It includes encrypted traffic, daily backup, antivirus, spam filtering, mobile synchronization, and provider-managed configuration, maintenance, and monitoring.

The Online Backup service lets customers choose the protected data and schedule, encrypts information in transit and at rest, and mirrors it between geographically separate facilities. Email confirmations can report completed backup jobs. Customers remain responsible for validating restores, with testing recommended at least twice per year. ITC ProSync adds centralized file storage, backup, controlled sharing, and synchronization among computers, tablets, and phones, while personal information remains in Sweden and within the EU.

The Colocation Hosting range accepts equipment from a single 1U server through a full rack. Available facilities include IPv4 and IPv6, Remote Hands, full server access, RAID assistance, DNS records, carrier-neutral ODF connections, cloud interconnection, reseller options, and 24/7 monitoring. Customers can access their equipment without an escort around the clock. CentOS and Debian expertise is identified, and network ports can reach 10 Gbit/s. Rack space, power, bandwidth, addresses, and technical work are quoted for the actual configuration rather than sold as a fixed public bundle.

ITConnect’s non-hosting services strengthen the overall proposition. Business fiber is available in Uddevalla, Trollhättan, Vänersborg, Stenungsund, Kungälv, and Gothenburg, with guaranteed bandwidth, unlimited traffic, and speeds from 10 to 1,000 Mbit/s. IP telephony covers direct dialing, queues, callback, voicemail, mobile and desktop answering, cloud PBXs from one to 10,000 extensions, and Microsoft Teams integration. The web agency supplies responsive design, development, hosting, updates, SEO, Google Ads, and graphic work. Infrastructure monitoring retains one year of history, runs on two failover monitoring servers, alerts through app, email, or SMS, and can combine automated correction with technician troubleshooting.

This range makes ITConnect a consultative regional provider rather than a low-touch global host. It is most persuasive when several elements—connectivity, physical infrastructure, applications, backups, and human support—need to work together.
