IPAX is an Austrian hosting and infrastructure provider established in 2006, operating as IPAX GmbH from Klosterneuburg, Austria. Mag. Sascha Aloy and Dipl.-Ing. Thomas Hava serve as managing directors. The company has grown beyond conventional website hosting into a broad infrastructure provider covering Shared Hosting, Managed WordPress, VPS, Dedicated Servers, GPU Servers, Proxmox virtualization, backup, cloud storage, security services and colocation.

Its infrastructure is concentrated in Vienna, Austria, across two physically separated data-center locations approximately 10 kilometers apart. This Austrian focus is particularly useful for companies that prefer local data residency, low latency across Austria and Central Europe, and infrastructure operating under Austrian and EU jurisdiction.

The Webhost Plus shared-hosting range uses SSD storage and includes MySQL databases, configurable PHP, HTTP/2, Let's Encrypt SSL certificates and daily backups. Smaller packages cover ordinary websites and email, while larger plans increase storage, domains, databases and application resources.

Businesshost Plus is intended for websites requiring more resources than standard shared hosting. Depending on the selected package, customers receive more PHP capacity, additional domains, MySQL databases, cron jobs, SSL support and increased web and email resources.

For customers wanting isolated resources without taking responsibility for server administration, Managed Webserver combines virtual-server capacity with system management by IPAX. CPU, RAM and SSD capacity can be expanded, while domains, FTP access, databases, SSL certificates and PHP settings remain manageable through the IPAX administration environment.

Managed WordPress Hosting adds WordPress installation or migration, ongoing maintenance, plugin updates, security hardening, firewall protection and daily backups. Backup retention can extend for several months, with restoration assistance included. This provides a substantially more managed environment than ordinary WordPress hosting.

The VPS portfolio covers several infrastructure classes. Standard VIRTUAL systems provide Linux environments with root access, SSD RAID storage and traffic-inclusive network connectivity. Configurations scale from very small virtual servers to systems with as many as 12 CPU cores and 48 GB RAM.

PERFORMANCE MAX VPS plans use faster NVMe storage and suit workloads where disk performance is particularly important. Larger configurations reach 13 CPU cores and 48 GB RAM, with network connectivity of up to 1 Gbps.

A separate Windows VPS range provides licensed Microsoft Windows Server environments with full administrator access.

For more important workloads, High Availability VPS operates on redundant virtualization infrastructure with triple-redundant SSD storage and a 99.99% availability level.

The Hybrid Root Server range combines virtualized CPU and memory resources with dedicated physical disks. These systems are useful for databases, backup platforms and storage-intensive applications where dedicated disk resources are desirable without renting a complete physical machine.

At the entry level of the bare-metal portfolio, POWER Dedicated Servers mainly use AMD Ryzen processors. These systems provide exclusive hardware resources, mirrored disks and traffic-inclusive connectivity, making them suitable for customers wanting an economical dedicated environment.

The PROFESSIONAL Dedicated Server range uses business-grade Dell hardware with Intel Xeon or AMD EPYC processors. Hardware RAID, remote KVM/iDRAC administration and considerably larger RAM configurations are available, with some systems reaching approximately 512 GB memory. Windows Server configurations are also available.

BUSINESS Dedicated Servers target virtualization platforms, databases and other critical enterprise workloads. Configurations can reach dozens of physical CPU cores, more than 1 TB RAM and multiple NVMe drives. Redundant power supplies and network connections accompany a 99.99% availability level.

The GPU Server portfolio is particularly extensive. Configurations range from NVIDIA T400 and A2000 cards through professional RTX hardware and enterprise accelerators including NVIDIA A16, A30, L40S and H100. These machines are suitable for artificial intelligence, machine learning, rendering, video processing and other GPU-accelerated workloads.

Customers that prefer not to administer Linux or Windows themselves can add Server Management. Different management levels cover routine maintenance through to Mission Critical service with 24/7 technical availability.

Virtualization is another important part of the business. IPAX supports Proxmox VE, including Proxmox subscriptions, dedicated virtualization hosts and fully managed virtualization environments. Deployments can range from an individual Proxmox node to larger clustered installations.

Hosted Proxmox Backup Server complements these virtualization products with encrypted VM and container backups, integrity verification and both full-system and file-level restoration.

Additional infrastructure products include Backup Storage, Server Monitoring, Virtual Firewalls, Server Clustering and DDoS Protection. Backup capacity scales into tens of terabytes, and backup systems can be located separately from production infrastructure at the second Vienna location.

DDoS mitigation uses Arbor / NETSCOUT technology with local protection combined with larger scrubbing capacity. Basic DDoS protection accompanies VPS, dedicated-server and colocation services, while stronger protection levels are available for systems exposed to larger attacks.

The Cloud Storage range provides Austrian-hosted storage for both individuals and businesses, with capacities extending into multiple terabytes. Cloud Workspace, based on Nextcloud, adds collaborative file storage, calendars, contacts and other productivity features for multiple users.

Domain services cover hundreds of extensions along with DNS management and transfers. SSL Certificates include commercial certificates together with Let's Encrypt support on many hosting packages.

The physical infrastructure portfolio includes Serverhousing / Colocation, Shared Rack and Full Rack services. Customers can colocate anything from a single 1U server to complete cabinets in Vienna, with power, redundant connectivity and technical assistance available according to the selected configuration.

The website and commercial interface are primarily German, and no complete multi-language/localized storefront exists. English can be used for qualifying technical-support communication. Product pricing is primarily in EUR, matching the company's Austrian and European market focus.
