Intelliwire is a long-established Lexington, Kentucky hosting and Internet infrastructure company whose history goes back to 1998, when the operation started as Internet Presenter. Today it operates as Intelliwire, LLC, combining conventional web hosting with VPS infrastructure, domain registration, colocation, SSL certificates, backup services and server-management work. Its administrative office is in downtown Lexington, while hosting and colocation equipment operates from a separate facility inside the Kentucky World Trade Center. Thomas Chase Gullett has been associated with the business as president since its early years, while Andrew Chiles has also been associated with Intelliwire as CEO/co-founder.

The main Web Hosting service is Linux-based shared hosting using SSD storage and cPanel. Current Starter, Professional and Enterprise packages provide 5 GB, 10 GB and 15 GB of SSD storage respectively, together with 5, 10 or 15 basic email accounts and the same number of MySQL databases. Bandwidth is unlimited. Enterprise supports as many as 15 domains, while the smaller packages are intended primarily for a single main domain.

Shared hosting includes FTP access, MySQL with phpMyAdmin, cron jobs, AWStats and Webalizer statistics, POP3 and IMAP email access and browser-based webmail. RoundCube is available, while some older service documentation still includes SquirrelMail. The technical information also retains references to technologies such as PHP 5, Ruby on Rails, Python, Java Servlets and JSP, making parts of the website clearly older than the current hosting environment and storefront.

Virtual Private Servers provide root or sudo access, SSH connectivity, dedicated IP addresses and scalable allocations of memory, storage and CPU resources. Managed DNS and firewall options are available. The current order system includes Standard VPS with 20 GB of storage, 2 GB RAM and one CPU core, Premium VPS with 60 GB, 4 GB RAM and two cores, and Corporate VPS with 120 GB, 8 GB RAM and four cores.

Some older VPS information still contains different configurations, including a 30 GB entry package and higher processor allocations on the larger plans. OpenVZ and Xen virtualization are both referenced, together with Linux and OpenFreeBSD administration, PCI-related configuration work, service monitoring and advanced firewall management. VPS provisioning is not necessarily immediate, with deployment normally taking around three to five business days and potentially as long as five business days after completion of the required service agreement.

Dedicated-server support remains part of Intelliwire's service portfolio. The company maintains dedicated hardware and provides base operating-system installation, hardware replacement options, RAID support, migration assistance and backup-related services. System administration remains the customer's responsibility unless additional management is purchased. Dedicated servers are not currently organized as a normal self-service category in the main ordering system, making them more appropriate for customers seeking a customized server arrangement.

Co-Location is one of Intelliwire's more specialized services. Customers can install their own equipment in the Lexington facility and receive rack space, IP addresses, managed DNS, managed firewall services, burstable bandwidth, monitoring and escorted physical access around the clock. The current 1U options provide 150 GB, 300 GB or 600 GB of monthly transfer together with 2, 8 or 16 IP addresses. Additional rack space, IP addresses, power, operating-system installation and system-administration services can be added when required.

Backup and administration services can also be ordered separately. VPS Backup covers scheduled backup and restore-point management, while VPS Management adds basic monitoring, operating-system updates and security patching. Intelliwire also provides AWS EC2 Management for customers using Amazon EC2 infrastructure. Shared hosting and VPS services additionally benefit from geographically separate offsite disaster-recovery backup arrangements.

The company offers SSL certificates for conventional websites, multiple-domain installations and wildcard deployments. The current SSL range includes Standard SSL for one website, UCC SSL covering as many as five domain names and Wildcard SSL for a domain together with its subdomains.

Domain registration and transfer services are also available. Customers can manage DNS settings and transfer existing domains, and qualifying annual web-hosting or VPS packages can include a free domain. Some domain pricing information belongs to an older generation of the website, so the active order system is the more suitable reference for current registration charges.

The main company website is in English, while the customer account and ordering system supports a much broader range of interface languages. These include Arabic, Azerbaijani, Catalan, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Persian, French, German, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Macedonian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish and Ukrainian, among others. Commercial pricing is denominated in USD.

A noticeable weakness is the age and inconsistency of parts of the website. Current service pages coexist with legacy references such as PHP 5, SquirrelMail, OpenFreeBSD, 10/100 Mbps switched ports and older hosting-plan names. VPS prices and specifications also differ between some product tables and the active storefront. The Privacy and Terms links that appear in the footer currently lead to unavailable pages. The hosting platform and ordering system remain active, but important package details should be confirmed against the current cart before purchase.
