Infomaniak is a Swiss hosting, cloud, communications, and digital-services provider distinguished by direct control of its software, network, and physical infrastructure. The operating company, Infomaniak Network SA, has its headquarters in Geneva and a branch in Zurich. Every employee works in Switzerland; engineering, support, data-center operations, and management have not been moved to lower-cost offshore locations.

The company began in 1994, when Boris Siegenthaler and Fabien Lucchi established the Siegenthaler & Lucchi Infomaniak computer shop in Châtelaine. It helped more than 40,000 Geneva residents get online between 1994 and 1998, became a full Internet service provider in 1997, and took the Infomaniak Network form in 1999. Siegenthaler remains involved as founder and Chief Strategy Officer, while Marc Oehler leads the business as CEO. More than 300 employees now serve over one million users and about 300,000 paying customers, with roughly 70% of the workforce assigned to research and development. Revenue reached CHF 54.2 million in 2025, compared with CHF 47.6 million in 2024.

Governance changed substantially on May 13, 2026, when Boris Siegenthaler transferred the majority of voting rights in Infomaniak Group SA to the public-interest Infomaniak Foundation. Thirty-six employee shareholders then held 25% of the capital, and the group had no outside investors. The Foundation's special shares are non-transferable and carry permanent blocking power, although operating decisions remain with company management. This structure replaces the earlier plan for a gradual employee takeover while retaining employee participation.

A proposed SIX Swiss Exchange listing was announced on July 29, 2026 through a reverse takeover with Perrot Duval Holding SA (perrot-duval.com). Web services remain an important foundation of the business. The range includes domain registration, shared hosting, WordPress and Node.js hosting, managed cloud servers, SSL, DNS tools, and Site Creator. Standard Web Hosting supplies 250 GB of SSD capacity, 20 websites, unlimited databases and traffic, FTP and SSH, automatic backups, vulnerability protection, and more than 100 CMS installers. Daily backups can restore a site or an entire hosting environment to a state from the preceding seven days. This is a practical step up for agencies and developers who need custom Apache, PHP, database, cache, or application settings without assuming responsibility for the entire operating system.

Self-managed servers are divided between VPS Lite and VPS Cloud. Six availability zones span two Swiss regions. Relevant block-storage tiers supply up to 10 TB per volume, three replicas, 4,000 IOPS, and 800 MB/s, while network architecture uses redundant 2 x 25 Gbps BGP-to-host paths. Customers can automate deployments through Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Docker, APIs, and command-line tools.

Managed Kubernetes adds dedicated control-plane choices with 99.9% SLAs and capacity for up to 50 or 100 nodes. The managed Database Service currently has priced MySQL tiers ranging from a single-node development option without an SLA to two- and three-node Multi-AZ tiers with 99.9% availability. Although the broader cloud catalog includes MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, and an OpenSearch-compatible option, several alternatives remain marked as forthcoming in the database-specific area. That distinction matters when choosing an engine for immediate deployment.

Jelastic Cloud supplies a managed PaaS with a 14-day trial, hourly resource metering, and automatic scaling within customer-defined minimum and maximum limits. Swiss Backup works with Acronis agents or S3, Swift, and SFTP software and maintains three copies across two data centers. Dedicated Synology NAS rental includes DSM access, fixed addressing, unlimited transfer up to 1 Gbps, and an optional high-availability pair. For critical projects, Very High Availability clusters spread load balancers, web servers, and synchronized Galera database nodes between facilities, backed by continuous monitoring and a custom SLA. Colocation extends the same infrastructure to customer-owned hardware in 10U, 20U, and full-rack formats.

The collaboration portfolio is broad enough to replace several separate subscriptions. kSuite brings together Mail, Calendar, Contacts, kDrive, kChat, kMeet, SwissTransfer, kPaste, QR-code and short-link tools, online office editing, and centralized identity administration. The free individual package includes 20 GB for mail and 15 GB for cloud files. Paid organization tiers increase mailbox counts and kDrive capacity, extend file-version retention, add sharing controls, and introduce Microsoft Office Online, SSO, SCIM, and Custom Brand at the appropriate levels. kMeet supports unlimited meeting rooms, screen sharing, encrypted communication, recording to kDrive, and optional end-to-end encryption on supported desktop browsers.

Euria, the sovereign AI assistant, is integrated into kSuite and is also available as a separate application. It can draft and translate text, summarize conversations, search documents and scanned images, help with email, and work inside kChat and kDrive. Open-source language models run on Infomaniak-owned infrastructure in Switzerland. Inputs remain private, are not passed to a foreign AI cloud, and are not used to train third-party models, which is valuable for work governed by GDPR or the Swiss FADP.

Video streaming adds adaptive transcoding, live archiving, access restrictions, SSO, analytics, and branded players. VOD/AOD customers receive customizable media libraries with monetization, playlists, chapters, watermarks, and AI-assisted subtitle generation or translation. Ticketing covers online sales, invitations, capacity management, equipment rental, and an admission-control application that remains usable during an Internet outage. Newsletter tools complete an ecosystem capable of running the website, media, marketing, and admission workflow for an event.

The site has a contemporary responsive interface and English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish versions. Accounts are billed in CHF or EUR according to the organization's registered postal address.
