*📜 Plan description

MVZ-8192 costs $109.95 per month and provides 8000MB RAM with the same amount of vSwap, 200GB disk space, 6 vcpu cores, 5000GB monthly bandwidth, three IPv4 addresses and six IPv6 addresses.

Managed OpenVZ VPS service combines root access with full administration. HostUS handles patching, security monitoring, backups, server optimization and operational troubleshooting, with proactive monitoring running around the clock. The management scope also extends to tasks such as checking a WordPress plugin or installing an SSL certificate. Each package includes a cPanel/WHM license, full WHM access, Softaculous with hundreds of installable scripts, free Let's Encrypt SSL, 240GB of offsite backup space and migration of up to 20 websites from a previous cPanel host. Offsite backup capacity can be upgraded as high as 960GB. A domain name is included when the VPS is paid annually. The managed platform uses Intel Xeon hardware, RAID 10 SSD storage and at least a 1Gbps network uplink, with nine locations across Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles, Washington DC, London, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, Sydney and Singapore. Complimentary DDoS protection is available in selected datacenters on a best-effort basis. The overall network carries a 99.9% uptime guarantee and technical support is available 24/7 through tickets. Management services are excluded from the standard refund policy. Payments can be made by credit card, PayPal, Bitcoin, AliPay and Skrill on request.

📄 Editorial Review

HostUS is a US hosting provider founded in 2012 by Alexander McNeil. The main business operates as HostUS Solutions LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. Its international presence also includes HostUS Solutions LTD in Scotland, incorporated on March 3, 2016 under company number SC528556.

The company has grown well beyond conventional shared hosting. Its portfolio includes Shared Hosting, Reseller Hosting, KVM VPS, OpenVZ VPS, Storage VPS, Fully Managed VPS, Dedicated Servers, Domain Registration, SSL Certificates, software licenses and LIR/IP services. HostUS also operates its own network infrastructure through AS7489 and AS25926, with IP resources in the ARIN, APNIC and RIPE regions.

KVM VPS is one of the most attractive parts of the service. Full virtualization gives customers isolated virtual machines with administrative access and control through HostUS's own Breeze management panel. The standard range starts with 512 MB RAM, one vCPU, 25 GB SSD storage and 750 GB transfer, then scales through progressively larger configurations up to 32 GB RAM, 16 vCPU cores, 320 GB SSD storage and 10 TB transfer. Most configurations use 1 Gbps network ports and include both IPv4 and IPv6.

The KVM platform supports a broad selection of Linux distributions, BSD and Windows. Windows requires a sufficiently large VPS, while custom installation media gives experienced administrators more freedom over the operating system. Breeze can also import custom ISO images directly from a URL, which is particularly useful when a standard operating-system template is insufficient.

KVM plans include snapshot functionality, reverse DNS control and best-effort DDoS mitigation where supported. These features make the platform suitable for developers, system administrators, VPN services, application servers and other workloads that require more control than shared hosting.

OpenVZ VPS provides a lower-cost containerized alternative with Linux, root access, vSwap, IPv4, IPv6 and Breeze management. Plans range from 512 MB to 8 GB RAM. At present, the regular OpenVZ configurations have no available stock, making KVM the more practical choice for a new VPS deployment.

Storage VPS is another useful option. These systems use KVM and Breeze but prioritize disk capacity rather than high CPU or memory allocations. Storage options range from approximately 200 GB to 2 TB. A 1 TB configuration includes 1 GB RAM, one fair-share vCPU, 4 TB transfer, IPv4, IPv6 and a 1 Gbps port, while the 2 TB option increases resources to 4 GB RAM and two vCPU cores. These servers are particularly suitable for backup repositories, archives and other storage-intensive workloads.

Customers who do not want to manage a server themselves can use Fully Managed VPS. Management covers operating-system maintenance, security work, monitoring and backups, while root access remains available. Assistance can also extend to SSL installation and troubleshooting common website and application problems.

The managed range includes configurations from 1 GB through 8 GB RAM, RAID-10 SSD storage, multiple IPv4 addresses and 1 Gbps connectivity. This is a substantially different service from unmanaged KVM and OpenVZ VPS, where responsibility for operating-system administration remains with the customer.

Shared Hosting is based on cPanel, CloudLinux, Softaculous and SSD/NVMe storage. Starter includes 5 GB storage, 100 GB bandwidth, ten addon domains, ten FTP accounts and ten email accounts. Premium increases storage to 20 GB and removes the bandwidth, domain, FTP and email-account limits, while Premium+ provides 70 GB and Executive 120 GB. Higher packages also include a dedicated IP address.

Shared plans include free Let's Encrypt SSL certificates, globally distributed DNS and Softaculous. Popular applications such as WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, PrestaShop and phpBB can be installed automatically. One complete cPanel account migration from another provider is included, covering websites, databases and email.

The shared-hosting environment still has an important compatibility consideration: PHP versions are listed only through PHP 7.4, together with MySQL 5.6 and Apache 2.4. Those PHP and MySQL generations are outdated for a new production application in 2026, so customers planning to run modern PHP software should confirm the runtime available on their assigned server before migration.

Reseller Hosting uses cPanel and WHM with SSD/NVMe storage. Plans range from 20 GB to 220 GB storage and support between 10 and 50 cPanel accounts. Resellers receive a dedicated IP, custom nameservers, white-label infrastructure, globally distributed DNS, Let's Encrypt and Softaculous. Larger packages also include WHMCS for automated customer provisioning and billing. Up to ten cPanel account migrations are included. The regular reseller range currently has no available stock.

Dedicated Servers remain available for customers requiring physical hardware. Configurations include Xeon E3-1270 v5, Xeon D-1540 and dual Xeon E5-2660 v3 systems, generally with 32 GB or 64 GB RAM, SSD/HDD combinations, IPv4, IPv6 and 1 Gbps connectivity. SuperMicro hardware and IPMI remote management are included. These platforms use older Xeon generations, so their main appeal is dedicated physical resources and HostUS network access rather than cutting-edge CPU performance.

HostUS also handles Domain Registration and Transfers. Transfers require the domain to be at least 60 days old, unlocked and supplied with the appropriate EPP or authorization code. WHOIS privacy must be disabled during the transfer process.

The Licenses and SSL Certificates range includes cPanel, WHMCS, CloudLinux, KernelCare and Softaculous licenses for compatible HostUS services. Comodo PositiveSSL is available as a single-domain DV certificate with 256-bit encryption. Most software licenses are intended for systems hosted within the HostUS network.

A less common feature among budget hosting providers is LIR Services. HostUS can assist customers with autonomous-system numbers and Internet address resources. ASN registration is available for the APNIC and RIPE NCC regions, while IPv6 allocations can be supplied from ARIN, APNIC, AFRINIC and RIPE NCC resources. IPv4 /24 allocations may also be available when stock permits and appropriate justification can be provided.

The company operates in English, and the client storefront supports pricing in USD and GBP.
