😁 VPS performance is great, both cpu and hard disk speed are far faster than other vps I bought. The most important thing is that the work order response is very powerful, and you can usually give a reply within ten minutes. It is also very professional to handle problems. I will renew my subscription all the time. I highly recommend it.

I got an email stating if I had a positive experience with HostSailor, they’d really appreciate a short, honest review. As a thank-you, they’ll add $5–$10 credit to my account once my review is verified. My understanding is they sent a similar offer to many of their customers, and received an overwhelming response.
I am having their lowest end vps plan for several years now. Even though it is the lowest capable vps, it consumes modest cpu power/bandwidth. Which is why I can not write about high, or even medium, cpu power/bandwidth requirements. I feel it is working well, and stable. Rock solid. Which is satisfactory for me. It meets my requirements. Its capabilities could be very well above my requirements. So I didn't look into bench marking it, and also didn't try to examine network related performance. Over the years there weren't many cases of network issues. And when there were, they were mostly because my local ISP. When there are network issues, I have learnt to postpone examining the vps as the cause until I run of any other idea. Over the years, I think there was only 1 case of hardware failure. It was short, dealt promptly, without me losing data, and with full and prompt customer support throughout the event. There were also few cases of hardware upgrade. Which were announced in advance, kept short, with out data loss, and had prompt customer support throughout. In fact, their customer support seems to be always promptly responding, with honest, helpful, straight to the point replies. I also think they ask for a customer feedback about any ticket that is closed. It has been a long time since I opened a ticket. Perhaps only 1 ticket in the last year. Perhaps even 1 ticket for more than one year.
One thing I find not so common is that I am allowed to run a mail server on port 25. Even though I was told the email sent are routed through a dedicated gateway they set, I am not aware any email I sent that was discarded by them. But it is true that like my low cpu power/bandwidth requirements, so is the amount and volume of the email sent. I am also not aware to having any abuse complaints. I have no experience with the procedures by which they handle such complaints.
To the best of my knowledge, the yearly price I initially paid for the vps a few years ago was in the low range for similar services. From the beginning I was promised the price is recurrent, and they kept up with their promise.
My impression is they are well established, with sufficient technical expertise and financial capabilities, small to medium firm in their business. They will not crash all of a sudden. Though this is only a hunch, I have no data to support it other then I am satisfied with what I got over the years. From what I saw, they operate from 2 data centers. One in the Netherlands, and the other in Romania.
