*📜 Plan description

OCTA POWER targets busier multi site environments, larger corporate sites and growing WooCommerce shops that need more headroom for concurrent visitors and background tasks. The plan combines 8 dedicated vCPUs on AMD EPYC hardware with 32 GB RAM and 240 GB of NVMe SSD storage, which is well suited for several performance optimised online shops, learning platforms or membership sites running in parallel. Unlimited WordPress installations and mailboxes allow agencies to consolidate a larger client portfolio on a single managed cloud server, while the underlying CloudLinux environment isolates customers from noisy neighbours and provides predictable performance. Plesk Obsidian with WordPress Toolkit, SSH and Git integration makes it straightforward to maintain staging environments, roll out updates and automate deployments. With annual payment OCTA POWER is available from 158 EUR per month plus VAT for the first twelve months and then continues at the regular rate from 315 EUR per month, keeping the same fully managed service, proactive monitoring and performance tuning carried out by HostPress engineers.

All HostPress managed cloud servers are operated exclusively in certified high-availability data centres in Germany with locations in Saarland and the Frankfurt metropolitan area. The hardware platform is based on modern AMD EPYC CPUs, redundant power and network connections and fast NVMe SSD storage so that WordPress and WooCommerce projects can cope with heavy traffic and complex queries. The web stack combines NGINX and Apache with HTTP/2, RocketCache and an included WP Rocket licence, which keeps page load times low even when many visitors hit the site at once, while CloudLinux with CageFS isolates each customer instance with its own guaranteed resources and lets PHP versions and other parameters be tuned via Plesk. Every managed cloud server plan includes a 30 day money back guarantee for new customers, unlimited traffic on a fair use basis and an uptime concept designed to achieve around 99.99 percent availability over the year. Security is handled by a multi layer architecture with Web Application Firewall, Imunify360 malware scanning, brute force protection, DNS blacklist checks and free SSL certificates from Lets Encrypt as well as support for custom domain certificates, plus two automated backups per day stored geo redundantly in different data centres and optional manual restore points triggered via the control panel. HostPress operates the servers as a fully managed service with proactive monitoring, 24/7 hardware and emergency support together with phone, ticket and live chat support during office hours so agencies and companies can focus on their WordPress and WooCommerce content instead of patching and troubleshooting servers themselves.

📄 Editorial Review

HostPress is a German, owner-managed specialist for managed WordPress and WooCommerce hosting. The company operates as HostPress GmbH, based in Eppelborn (Saarland), and is led by founder and managing director Marcus Krämer. The idea for HostPress emerged in 2015, the first managed WordPress products went live in 2016, and since then the business has grown into a focused team that looks after several thousand WordPress sites every day. The whole setup feels much closer to a boutique performance host than to a mass-market shared hosting provider.

The entire product portfolio revolves around WordPress: there are no generic cPanel shared hosting packages or unmanaged VPS. Instead, everything is built as managed WordPress hosting with a strong emphasis on speed, security, and personal support. The main product lines are:
  • Single WordPress Hosting – START, PLUS and MAX
These plans are aimed at one WordPress installation per account, from smaller blogs and company sites up to demanding projects and WooCommerce stores. Each plan runs on AMD EPYC CPUs with dedicated vCPUs, NVMe SSD storage, and a WordPress-optimized stack (NGINX/Apache, PHP 8.x, MariaDB). Even the entry plan includes free SSL, daily backups (stored geo-redundantly in two data centers), Imunify360 protection, uptime monitoring, WP Rocket license, Redis caching, CDN integration on request, and a migration service for one WordPress site. Bigger plans add more vCPUs, RAM and NVMe space, as well as included mailboxes and higher capacity for traffic and mail.
  • Multi WordPress Hosting – TEAM, FREELANCER and larger agency tiers
These tariffs target freelancers, agencies and businesses running several websites. The TEAM plan starts with three managed WordPress instances, the FREELANCER plan with six, and higher tiers go up to twelve installations per account. The hardware is again AMD EPYC with NVMe SSD, but with more generous resources and mailboxes. Features include multisite support, staging environments, daily backups, SSL, Imunify360, WP Rocket, uptime monitoring and a free relocation service for all included sites. This range is particularly attractive for agencies that want to centralise management and offload performance tuning and security.
  • Managed Cloud Server – QUAD, OCTA, ULTRA, GIGA, EPYC POWER and FLEX POWER
For high-traffic sites, agencies with many clients, or projects that need more isolation, HostPress offers managed cloud servers. These are powerful virtual instances with between 4 and 48 vCPUs, up to 128 GB RAM and hundreds of gigabytes of NVMe SSD storage. The servers run a fully managed WordPress platform with Plesk, WordPress Toolkit, staging, cloning/sync, Git, WP-CLI and automated backups (twice daily). A relocation service for up to 10 WordPress sites is included, and the number of installations and mailboxes is effectively unlimited within the resources of the chosen plan. These tariffs feel very close to a managed VPS/dedicated solution, but remain clearly WordPress-centric rather than generic IaaS.

Beyond the core hosting, HostPress also offers:
  • Domains & E-Mails – domain registration with DNS management, SSL support and mailboxes (Roundcube webmail, secure SMTP/IMAP, spam and virus filters, greylisting, blacklist checks).
  • Update Service – a paid managed update add-on for WordPress core, themes and plugins, aimed at customers who want to completely hand off maintenance.
  • Hosting Add-ons & Managed Services – emergency support, premium migrations, emergency restore from backup, malware cleaning with its own money-back guarantee, and white-label options for agencies.
  • Free development and trial options – free development environments, a free test migration and a speedtest tool to benchmark an existing installation.

Technically, the platform is quite advanced for a WordPress-only host: PHP 8.x (with the option to run older versions where necessary), HTTP/2 and HTTP/3, NGINX in front of Apache, RocketCache (their own caching approach based on NGINX plus a WP Rocket license), OPcache, Redis, Git, WP-CLI, and a staging/sync system that fits WordPress workflows. Security is treated as a first-class concern, with a web application firewall, brute-force protection, malware scanning, Layer-7 DDoS protection and automated backup/restore procedures.

Overall, HostPress comes across as a technically strong, niche provider for WordPress projects where performance and managed support matter more than having dozens of different hosting product types. It is clearly aimed at professional users, agencies and serious site owners rather than bargain hunters looking for the cheapest possible shared hosting.
