HostMídia is an established Brazilian web hosting provider founded in 2002 and operated by Ditcom Internet Ltda. Over more than two decades, the company has served over 60,000 customers and hosted more than 30,000 domains. Its development included a partnership with hpG in 2003, growth to 15,000 active customers by 2008, and recognition as one of the pioneers of reseller hosting in Brazil. HostMídia became part of Grupo DITCOM in December 2015, when approximately 2 million was invested in restructuring the business.

The service portfolio includes domain registration and transfers, shared hosting, WordPress hosting, managed WordPress, reseller hosting, virtual private servers, dedicated servers, server management, SSL certificates, and a website builder. This range allows customers to begin with an inexpensive website package and later move to an isolated VPS or dedicated server without changing providers.

Shared Hosting is divided into Start, Pro, Business, and Premium packages. Start supports one website and includes 20 GB of SSD storage, 20 email accounts, and one database. Pro and the higher packages support unlimited websites, email accounts, and databases, with storage allocations ranging from 100 GB to 150 GB.

Every shared-hosting package includes unmetered monthly traffic, a free SSL certificate, daily backups, a visual website builder, and a free domain registration during the first year. Customers can also choose between infrastructure in Brazil and the United States.

The hosting environment supports PHP 5.x through modern PHP 8.x versions, together with Python, Node.js, Perl, Ruby on Rails, MySQL, MariaDB, and PostgreSQL. SSH access, Git, cron jobs, DNS management, SPF, DKIM, webmail, statistics, firewall tools, and automatic application installation are available on eligible packages.

HostMídia assigns clearly defined technical resources to each shared-hosting package. Depending on the plan, an account receives between one and four CPU cores, 2 GB to 8 GB of memory, and different inode, process, database, and hourly email limits. These published boundaries make it easier to select the correct plan for a business website, online store, or resource-intensive application.

WordPress Hosting combines automatic WordPress installation with WooCommerce support, free SSL, email hosting, backups, and server configurations optimized for the platform. These packages work well for blogs, corporate websites, portfolios, landing pages, and smaller online shops.

Managed WordPress Hosting provides reserved CPU, memory, SSD storage, and monthly traffic. WordPress I includes one CPU, 2 GB RAM, 20 GB SSD storage, 200 GB of monthly traffic, and support for one website. WordPress II raises the allocation to two CPUs, 4 GB RAM, 40 GB SSD storage, and two websites.

The larger managed WordPress packages reach 60 GB or 80 GB of SSD storage, 6 GB or 8 GB RAM, three or four websites, and up to four CPUs. WordPress IV also includes a dedicated IP address and priority advanced support.

Managed WordPress accounts include unlimited email addresses, daily backups, malware removal, firewall protection, continuous monitoring, free SSL certificates, and a domain registration for the first year. These plans provide a useful alternative to VPS hosting for customers who need reserved resources without administering an entire operating system.

Reseller Hosting remains one of HostMídia’s most important specialties. The reseller plans provide 60 GB, 120 GB, or 240 GB of SSD storage and allow the creation of 10, 20, or 40 independent cPanel accounts.

Traffic, hosted domains, websites, email accounts, and MySQL databases are unlimited within the applicable resource limits. Resellers receive cPanel and WHM, private nameserver options, SSL certificates, backup tools, and assistance with migrations from compatible cPanel hosting accounts.

The VPS range uses Linux and includes cPanel/WHM licensing with basic server management. Entry-level configurations begin with 2 GB RAM, one CPU, 60 GB of disk space, and 1 TB of monthly traffic. Larger configurations provide 4 GB RAM with two CPUs and 120 GB storage, 8 GB RAM with four CPUs and 240 GB storage, and a higher package with 16 GB RAM.

These virtual servers are suitable for busy websites, multiple customer accounts, development platforms, private databases, online stores, and business applications that have outgrown normal shared hosting.

Dedicated Servers use physical Intel Xeon hardware located in Brazil or the United States. Entry configurations include Xeon E3 processors, 8 GB or 16 GB RAM, two 1 TB disks configured in RAID 1, and monthly traffic allowances between 1 TB and 5 TB.

The larger dual-processor Xeon E5 configurations provide 12 or 20 physical cores, 32 GB or 64 GB RAM, as many as four 1 TB disks, RAID 1, 5, 6, or 10, and up to 10 TB of monthly traffic. Dedicated packages include two public IP addresses, cPanel/WHM, basic management, root access, and migration assistance.

Basic server management is included with HostMídia VPS and dedicated-server services. Advanced administration can cover operating-system installation, cPanel deployment, firewall configuration, antivirus and antispam protection, kernel and software updates, log and traffic analysis, troubleshooting, optimization, and continuous server monitoring.

The domain service includes Brazilian and international extensions, domain transfers, renewals, parking, DNS management, and domain locking for eligible international extensions.

Commercial SSL certificates include domain-validation, wildcard, organization-validation, and extended-validation options. Since free SSL is already included with hosting accounts, the commercial products are mainly relevant to businesses needing company validation, wildcard protection, or a particular certificate brand.

The Website Builder is included with shared hosting and provides a visual, responsive editing environment. Customers can create a complete website without WordPress or programming knowledge while keeping hosting, email, SSL, backups, and the first-year domain registration in one account.

The website and customer information are primarily available in Portuguese, while service prices are displayed in Brazilian reais. HostMídia is therefore particularly convenient for Brazilian businesses and Portuguese-speaking customers.
