HostMantis is a long-established web hosting brand with roots in Michigan, United States. The business originally operated as Plexihost and became HostMantis in September 2010, which marks the beginning of the HostMantis brand. Scott Newton was associated with the original operation as founder.

The company went through important operational and ownership changes during the following years. Dynamic Hosting (dynamichosting.ca) assumed monitoring, technical support, and billing responsibilities in July 2022. In 2023, Likuid acquired HostMantis, bringing the brand under new ownership while keeping HostMantis active as a separate hosting service.

The product portfolio concentrates on Shared Hosting, Reseller Hosting, Enterprise Hosting, Enterprise Reseller Hosting, VPS, domain services, SSL, and hosting-related software. Linux hosting dominates the current range, while customers can choose between cPanel and DirectAdmin for many shared and reseller configurations.

Standard Shared Hosting uses NVMe SSD storage together with unmetered bandwidth, LiteSpeed, CloudLinux, DDoS protection, daily JetBackup backups, free SSL certificates, and one-click application installation. cPanel packages provide 25 GB, 75 GB, or 125 GB of NVMe storage. Resource allocations increase from 100% CPU and 3 GB RAM on the Entry tier to 200% CPU and 6 GB RAM on the Expert tier. cPanel plans have the broadest geographical availability.

DirectAdmin shared hosting follows the same 25 GB, 75 GB, and 125 GB storage structure while providing a lower-cost control-panel alternative. These plans are available from selected locations including USA East, the United Kingdom, and Singapore.

Reseller Hosting is one of the stronger areas of the HostMantis portfolio. cPanel/WHM reseller plans include 50 GB, 125 GB, or 200 GB NVMe storage, unmetered transfer, white-label hosting, private nameservers, CloudLinux Reseller Limits, DDoS protection, daily backups, free SSL, and account migration assistance. DirectAdmin reseller hosting is also available.

Resellers can use overselling within the limits of their package, although packages cannot be created with unlimited disk space or bandwidth allocations. HostMantis handles the server platform and reseller account infrastructure, while each reseller remains responsible for supporting their own end customers.

Enterprise Hosting provides substantially higher per-account resources than normal shared hosting while retaining a managed shared-hosting environment. The cPanel Entry package includes 2.5 CPU cores, 4 GB RAM, and 50 GB NVMe storage. Advanced increases this to 4.5 CPU cores, 6 GB RAM, and 100 GB storage, while Expert provides 5.5 CPU cores, 8 GB RAM, and 150 GB NVMe storage. DirectAdmin Enterprise plans follow the same 50 GB, 100 GB, and 150 GB storage progression.

Enterprise Reseller Hosting combines these higher resource allocations with reseller functionality. cPanel packages support up to 50, 150, or 300 cPanel accounts depending on the plan, while DirectAdmin versions provide equivalent account limits. The platform includes white-label hosting, overselling, CloudLinux management, MailChannels outgoing email, IPv6, ImunifyAV+, Let's Encrypt SSL, daily offsite JetBackup backups, Softaculous, private nameservers, and Blesta billing software.

The Linux NVMe VPS range is aimed at users who need root-level access and can administer their own servers. Configurations start with 1 CPU core, 2 GB RAM, 50 GB NVMe storage, one IP address, and 2 TB transfer. Larger plans reach 4 CPU cores, 6 GB RAM, 150 GB NVMe storage, one IP address, and 8 TB transfer. DDoS protection is included, while server administration beyond the host node remains the customer's responsibility.

VPS backups are performed daily, and the VPS platform carries a 99.9%+ node uptime guarantee. Optional software such as Softaculous can be added separately.

Windows VPS exists only as a legacy service and is no longer a central part of the active product range.

Domain registration and transfer services are available through the client area. Shared and reseller hosting includes free Let's Encrypt SSL, while Softaculous provides installation of WordPress, Joomla, and many other common applications.
