Hostland is a long-established Russian hosting provider based in Saint Petersburg. The company dates back to 2003, while ООО «Хостланд» was formally registered on September 18, 2003. The legal entity operates under OGRN 1037825052352 and INN 7811142520, with D. N. Stepachev serving as General Director. Hostland is also included in Russia's official register of hosting providers.

The company has developed into a broad hosting platform covering Shared Hosting, VDS/VPS, Dedicated Servers, GPU Servers, Domains, SSL Certificates, Email, Website Builder, File Storage, DNS and web applications. With more than 100,000 customers, Hostland has a substantial presence in the Russian hosting market and offers enough service depth for customers to move from a small website to considerably more demanding infrastructure without changing providers.

The standard Linux Shared Hosting range is divided between the Green, Red and Black NVMe plans and the larger Kosmos-1, Kosmos-2 and Kosmos-3 configurations. Green includes 10 GB NVMe web storage plus 20 GB for email, two websites, unlimited mailboxes and MySQL databases, two free SSL certificates and a domain bonus. Red increases the resources to 30 GB NVMe plus 60 GB for mail and ten websites, while Black provides 40 GB NVMe plus 80 GB for mail and support for 25 websites. The Kosmos plans are better suited to customers needing substantially more storage and website capacity, reaching 200 GB SSD storage with an unlimited number of websites.

The shared environment is flexible enough for both traditional sites and development work. Customers can use PHP 5.x, 7.x and 8.x versions, with PHP 8.5 support added in July 2026. Node.js, Python through mod_wsgi, Perl/CGI and C/C++ are also supported. The hosting environment includes phpMyAdmin, cron, FTP, protected FTP directories, SSH-related functionality, DNS management, encrypted POP3/IMAP/SMTP, WebMail, spam filtering and application-level security. NVMe storage and hardware RAID are used across the performance-oriented hosting plans.

CMS compatibility is extensive. WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, MODX, 1C-Bitrix, PrestaShop, OpenCart, Magento, Moodle, MediaWiki and many other web applications can run on the shared platform. Existing websites can also be migrated free of charge, which makes switching from another provider considerably easier.

Hostland includes its own Website Builder with hosting without an additional software fee. It offers more than 190 responsive templates, unlimited pages and traffic, custom-domain support, multilingual website functionality, galleries, YouTube integration, Yandex Maps and SEO settings. Websites created with the builder do not carry Hostland advertising, and the generated HTML remains accessible through FTP, giving customers more control than many closed website-builder platforms.

The VDS/VPS platform uses KVM virtualization, NVMe storage and server processors based on Cascade Lake and Ice Lake-class architectures in the standard range. Root SSH access and a dedicated IP address are available, while both Linux and Windows systems can be deployed. Preconfigured environments simplify deployment for users who do not want to install an entire software stack manually.

The VDS application catalog includes LAMP, LEMP, OpenLiteSpeed, OpenVPN, FreePBX, Mattermost, Minecraft and 1C-Bitrix environments. The Middle VDS includes 2 vCPU, 4 GB RAM, 30 GB NVMe storage and a 250 Mbit/s connection. Larger standard configurations increase resources up to 4 vCPU, 12 GB RAM and 120 GB NVMe storage. One backup copy is included and retained for one week, while extra CPU, RAM, disk space and backup capacity can be added separately.

Customers that need more assistance can order expanded VDS administration with 24/7 technical management. This is useful for businesses that want the flexibility of a virtual server without handling every operating-system and service-level task themselves.

The Dedicated Server range covers both economical older-generation Xeon systems and newer AMD Ryzen, AMD EPYC and Intel Xeon platforms. Linux, Windows, FreeBSD, Proxmox and VMware ESXi can be used depending on the selected configuration. Current servers can include a shared 1 Gbit/s port, one IPv4 address, IPMI access, free operating-system installation and DDoS protection.

Hostland increased the standard dedicated-server channel to 1 Gbit/s in June 2026. Some older configurations can still use a 100 Mbit/s network specification, so customers choosing legacy hardware should pay attention to the network capacity included with the exact server configuration.

Dedicated servers can be ordered unmanaged or with administration. There is no setup fee, and customers ordering a server for at least one month receive a seven-day commissioning period. Hardware failures are covered by a replacement target of up to 12 hours.

The GPU Server line extends the dedicated infrastructure toward machine learning, AI workloads, rendering, 3D and CAD processing, game servers and GPU-accelerated virtual desktops. NVIDIA-based systems are available, including powerful GeForce RTX configurations, and customized servers can be assembled when the standard configurations are not sufficient.

Domain registration covers a broad selection of Russian and international extensions. SSL Certificates include domain validation, organization validation, extended validation, wildcard certificates and IDN-compatible options. Shared hosting already includes free SSL certificates, with the exact number depending on the selected plan.

The File Storage service works as remote storage accessible through FTP/SFTP, SCP, RSYNC and WebDAV. It is billed according to actual capacity usage rather than through a fixed monthly package and is suitable for backups, archives and remote storage.

Email is integrated across the hosting platform. Shared plans include separate mail storage and unlimited mailboxes, while dedicated server packages include 50 GB of mail storage. Customers can manage forwarding, spam protection and mailbox quotas and connect through encrypted POP3, IMAP and SMTP.

Hostland is strongly focused on the Russian market. The commercial website, technical documentation and customer interface are primarily in Russian, and prices are displayed in Russian rubles (RUB). The Website Builder can be used for multilingual websites, but the hosting account environment itself is oriented toward Russian-speaking customers.
