Siteko Review 2026. Is siteko.net good web hosting in Russian Federation?

📄 Editorial Review

(3*) 🔧 Services: Web HostingDomain Registration
Siteko.net is a Russian web hosting provider operated by ООО "СайтЭко" / Siteko Ltd., with activity in the hosting market since 2011. The company is based in Saint Petersburg and focuses on practical, low-cost hosting services for Russian-speaking customers that need standard website hosting, VDS/VPS servers, domain registration, SSL certificates, DNS, email, and basic technical support under one account.

The service portfolio is compact but useful. Their main product is shared website hosting, offered in four plans: Start, Optima, Master, and Expert. These packages include instant activation, free site migration, 99.99% availability guarantee, ISPmanager, mailboxes, FTP users, databases, unlimited traffic, cron management, RoundCube webmail, backup configuration, and CMS/script installation from the ISPmanager catalog. Higher plans add Let’s Encrypt SSL and SSH access, while the entry plan is more suitable for small new websites.

Their VDS/VPS hosting is aimed at customers needing more control than shared hosting. VPS services include full root access, a dedicated IP address, Linux OS choice, and selectable virtualization between OpenVZ and KVM. Siteko separates VPS plans by expected workload, from small services such as DNS, backups, monitoring, tests, and experiments to heavier projects receiving thousands or tens of thousands of daily visitors. VDS management is connected with ISPmanager 5 Lite, and the offer includes technical support and flexible configuration options.

They also provide domain registration, domain renewal, and domain transfer services. Supported extensions include .ru, .рф, .su, .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info, .tv, .cc, .us, .bz, .me, .pw, and .kz. Their DNS servers are ns1.siteko.net and ns2.siteko.net, and domains can be managed together with hosting from the same client area. A free .ru or .рф domain for one year is available when ordering qualifying hosting services.

The SSL catalog is broader than expected for a small provider. Siteko offers SSL certificates from GeoTrust, DigiCert, and Sectigo, including standard domain-validation certificates, organization-validation certificates, wildcard certificates, and EV SSL certificates. Free Let’s Encrypt SSL is also included on most shared hosting plans except the entry Start package.

The website is available in Russian and English, although much of the service content remains Russian-first. The billing interface shows both RUB and USD, making the platform somewhat localized for international visitors, but the company’s natural market remains Russia and Russian-speaking customers.

💰 Price & Cost

Siteko is positioned as a low-cost provider. Shared hosting starts from 100 RUB/month, with an effective lower monthly cost when prepaid annually because long-term discounts apply. Their discount structure is simple: 10% for quarterly payment, 20% for half-year payment, and 30% for annual payment.

VDS/VPS hosting starts from 200 RUB/month, while domain registration begins around 200 RUB/year for .рф and around 210 RUB/year for .ru. SSL certificates start from low-cost standard certificates and extend to higher-priced business and EV SSL options from major certificate authorities.

Payment methods include bank cards, electronic payment systems, and bank transfer. The FAQ specifically mentions Yandex.Money, WebMoney, and QIWI, while the payment page also supports invoices for legal entities and bank receipts for individuals paying through Russian banks.

Refund handling is flexible rather than framed as a fixed "30-day money-back guarantee." Customers can request a refund of unused remaining funds through support, while the rules also mention refunds after deducting used services and mandatory charges for the current billing period. New hosting customers also receive a 10-day trial period, and the main site promotes a free test period / free month depending on the hosting offer.

🏢 Data Center

Siteko’s hosting infrastructure is Russia-based. Shared hosting servers are located in the Selectel data center in Saint Petersburg, while VDS servers are located in the FirstVDS data center in Moscow. This makes the provider more suitable for customers who specifically want Russian hosting, Russian data processing, and low latency for Russian audiences.

For the Saint Petersburg infrastructure, the data center setup includes two independent power inputs of 2.5 MW each, UPS clusters with N+1 redundancy, four diesel generators connected in a 3+1 configuration, and at least 24 hours of diesel-generator operation without additional refueling. Cooling uses precision air conditioning with 2N redundancy and hot/cold corridor organization.

The company gives a clear 99.99% availability guarantee for hosting services. Their monitoring covers HTTP, MySQL, FTP, SMTP, POP3, and IMAP, which is useful for customers running normal PHP/MySQL websites and email services.

Network/provider references found during research include Selectel / AS49505 for Selectel-related infrastructure and JSC IOT / AS29182 / aoiot.ru for FirstVDS-related hosting infrastructure in Moscow.

✍️ Customer Support

Support is available through the website support system / ticket area, email, and phone. The company lists separate contact addresses for customer service and support: *admin@siteko for client work and support@siteko for technical support. Customer-service responses are expected within up to 12 hours, while support questions are generally handled within several hours.

The support style is practical and technically oriented. Their FAQ covers FTP uploads, ISPmanager access, plan upgrades, DNS settings, domain parking, VDS virtualization, payment methods, phpMyAdmin access, remote database access, WordPress installation, SSH access, cron jobs, and balance replenishment. This makes the platform easier for customers already familiar with classic shared hosting administration.

Phone contact is also available at +7 (812) 405-00-15. For urgent infrastructure-level issues, the underlying data center support is described as available around the clock, but Siteko’s own published customer-support promise is mainly based on ticket/email handling.

🔨 Control Panel

The main hosting control panel is ISPmanager. Shared hosting uses ISPmanager Pro, while VDS services reference ISPmanager 5 Lite. This is a good fit for Russian-market hosting because ISPmanager is common among Russian providers and familiar to many local users.

Through ISPmanager, customers can manage websites, FTP access, databases, mailboxes, aliases, forwarding, autoresponders, cron jobs, backups, SSL certificates, file uploads, and one-click CMS/script installation. The FAQ confirms WordPress installation from the ISPmanager web-script catalog and SSH access on the Master and Expert shared hosting plans.

The client area also includes account management features such as login, registration, tickets, balance, invoices, services, domains, and affiliate management.

🎯 Conclusion

Siteko.net is a small, long-running Russian hosting provider for customers who need affordable shared hosting, VDS/VPS servers, domains, SSL certificates, and ISPmanager-based administration. Their strongest points are low entry prices, Russian data-center placement, simple plan structure, free migration, free trial options, 99.99% availability guarantee, and a familiar control panel.

The service is less suitable for customers looking for modern global cloud hosting, large-scale managed services, international data-center choice, advanced enterprise SLAs, or a highly polished multilingual website. However, for Russian websites, small businesses, developers, and customers who prefer traditional ISPmanager hosting with local support, Siteko remains a practical and inexpensive option.
