*📜 Plan description

HostKey’s full rack colocation offering provides a 48U private rack in a reliable Amsterdam data centre. Each rack includes metered 2×32A 230 V PDUs, free rack-and-stack services and cabling, and access to HostKey’s replacement servers and spare parts. Network connectivity starts with a 1 Gbps port and unlimited traffic per rack, with options to upgrade to 10 Gbps or 40 Gbps. Free BYOIP/BGP support lets you announce your own IP prefixes, and basic DDoS protection is included. Electricity is billed separately at €0.50 per kWh based on actual power usage. There is no setup fee and no long-term commitment, making it a flexible solution for enterprises needing to colocate their own hardware.

The colocation service comes with 24×7×365 data centre access, three hours of smart remote hands each month for hardware maintenance, and technical support available around the clock via email, live chat and phone. HostKey has 15 years of experience operating data centres and serves more than 5 000 satisfied customers. Although new colocation orders are temporarily unavailable, the company continues to support existing clients with secure facilities, robust network connectivity and proximity to the Amsterdam public transit system.

📄 Editorial Review

HOSTKEY operates as an international infrastructure provider rather than a traditional shared-hosting brand. For Russian market, they use Hostkey.ru. The company focuses on high-performance dedicated servers, GPU platforms, VPS/VDS, private cloud clusters and colocation, with infrastructure spread across multiple TIER III and TIER IV data centers in Europe, the USA and Turkey. The overall positioning is clearly aimed at demanding workloads: AI and machine learning, gaming, fintech, rendering, large-scale SaaS and hosting providers looking for raw capacity rather than a simple website plan.

The product catalog is built around several major pillars. The first is a broad range of instant dedicated servers and custom configurations. Customers can choose AMD Ryzen and 4th-gen EPYC systems or Intel-based servers with options such as high-RAM builds, 10 Gbps ports, storage-heavy machines and specialized nodes for Web3, Solana or virtualization. Instant servers are prebuilt, tested and handed over quickly, often in well under an hour once payment clears. Full out-of-band management (IPMI / iDRAC) is standard, so each server behaves much like a cloud instance in terms of remote control, but with bare-metal performance.

Dedicated and GPU servers

Dedicated servers come in instant, custom, premium and high-RAM lines. For many users the sweet spot is the Ryzen 7950X class system with 16 cores, 128 GB RAM and fast NVMe storage on a 1 Gbps port with around 50 TB traffic included. For heavier workloads there are EPYC 9354-based machines and larger dual-CPU servers with options up to 1 TB RAM and 12 NVMe drives, plus 10 Gbps connectivity. It is very much an infrastructure playground for sysadmins and devops engineers who want to shape the hardware to their workload.

GPU capacity is a major focus. HOSTKEY offers pre-configured GPU dedicated servers, custom GPU builds and GPU-equipped VPS/VDS. Modern NVIDIA cards such as RTX A4000, A5000, A6000, RTX 5090, RTX 6000 PRO and high-end data-center GPUs are available, along with newer AMD Radeon AI PRO R9700 options. A key point is that GPU VPS instances use a dedicated card per VM rather than oversharing GPU time, so performance in virtual machines closely matches dedicated GPU servers. For AI/ML and data science, there is a curated AI Platform with pre-installed stacks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, JupyterLab, Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, Anaconda and an Ollama-based self-hosted AI chatbot, so a team can go from order to a working environment in minutes instead of hours of manual setup.

VPS / VDS and application hosting

On the virtual side, HOSTKEY delivers VPS/VDS servers built for performance rather than ultra-budget pricing. Virtual servers are provisioned in TIER III facilities with root access as standard. Data centers for VPS include Amsterdam, New York and historically also Moscow, giving a mix of EU and US locations. VPS are suitable for hosting sites, game servers, development environments or smaller SaaS components; many customers use them as a stepping stone before moving to dedicated or GPU machines.

For security, several outbound ports commonly abused for spam and VoIP fraud (e.g. SMTP and SIP) are blocked by default on VPS. These can be opened on request via support, which shows the platform is tuned for long-term stability rather than "open relay" style usage. VPS customers get free basic DDoS protection, root access and rapid deployment, usually within about 15 minutes from payment.

Application-oriented hosting is exposed through pre-installed templates and an "Apps" section rather than classic shared hosting. Dedicated servers and VPS can be delivered with cPanel, Proxmox VE, ispmanager, aaPanel, Webmin, Nextcloud, WordPress and even specialized images such as Minecraft servers or automation tools like n8n Community Edition. That makes it relatively easy to transform a raw server into a complete hosting stack while still keeping full control under the hood.

Private cloud and colocation

A distinctive part of HOSTKEY’s portfolio is private cloud infrastructure. Instead of selling generic public cloud VMs, they build single-tenant clusters on Proxmox VE, VMware and Red Hat’s oVirt. Clusters are typically made up of at least three servers with shared storage and separate private networks behind a firewall. The design is aimed at enterprises that want isolation, predictable performance and deep customization while still offloading the hardware layer. Included services can cover DDoS protection, a block of IPv4 addresses, VPN access, a 1 Gbps unmetered link and 24/7 customer care, with options such as hybrid cloud setups, priority SLAs, SAN, CDN and assistance in choosing hardware and software.

Colocation is centered around Amsterdam but extends across the Netherlands via remote smart-hands services. Customers can colocate single units or entire racks in TIER III data centers in Amsterdam and get help with migration, relocation and on-site maintenance. Remote smart hands can then maintain equipment in any Dutch data center, including emergency work, hardware purchases and upgrades. Colocation packages lean on the same network strengths as their own servers: high-bandwidth connectivity, a default 1 Gbps unmetered port, IPMI / KVM access, hardware replacement options and eco-friendly facilities.

Beyond raw compute and colocation, HOSTKEY sells a number of auxiliary services: network equipment rental, additional IPv4/IPv6 addresses, BYOIP and ASN announcement, L3/L4 DDoS protection, VLANs, monitoring, managed servers and technical SLA packages for customers who need more hands-on help. There is also S3-compatible object storage and an AI platform that ties back into the GPU product line. The overall ecosystem is coherent: you can start from a single VPS and grow into clustered private clouds and managed colocation without leaving the same provider.
