📄 Editorial Review

Hosticon is an established web hosting provider with hosting operations dating back to 2005. The business initially operated as an outsourced hosting provider and adopted the Hosticon.com brand in 2010. Dhaval Chandrani founded the company, which grew from a two-person operation to a team of more than 30 employees, serving more than 15,000 websites across over 40 countries.

Its portfolio covers most of the services expected from a full-service hosting company, including Linux Web Hosting, Unlimited Shared Hosting, WordPress Hosting, Managed VPS, unmanaged KVM VPS, Managed Cloud Hosting, Dedicated Servers, domain registration and transfers, professional email and SSL certificates. The shared hosting environment also works well for developers and agencies managing customer websites because white-label cPanel and private nameservers are available.

The standard Linux Web Hosting range uses NVMe storage and consists of Basic, Professional and Professional Plus packages. Entry-level resources start with 5 GB NVMe storage, 100 GB monthly bandwidth and support for five websites, while larger packages provide up to 15 GB NVMe, 300 GB bandwidth and 15 websites. Unlimited email accounts, FTP accounts and databases are included together with cPanel, automatic SSL and managed technical support. Accounts receive 2 vCPUs and 2 GB RAM, with an inode allowance of 200,000.

The shared environment includes LiteSpeed Web Server, LSCache, CloudLinux, MariaDB, multiple PHP versions, Softaculous, SSH/SFTP access, WP-CLI, Imunify360 and JetBackup. This gives the lower-priced packages a stronger technical stack than basic shared hosting based only on Apache and standard PHP.

The Unlimited Hosting range starts with 50 GB SSD storage and expands to packages with unlimited disk allocation, bandwidth and websites. These plans continue to use cPanel, LiteSpeed and CloudLinux, with 2 GB RAM, one CPU core, 1,024 IOPS and an inode limit reaching one million. CPU and memory can be upgraded as high as four cores and 8 GB RAM.

Unlimited resources remain subject to fair-use conditions. Storage is intended for normal website content and cannot be used as a general backup archive, file locker or personal media repository. Accounts consuming more than 100 GB of storage or exceeding 500,000 inodes are excluded from the regular backup system.

WordPress Hosting follows much of the same infrastructure but adds WordPress-specific administration through WP Toolkit. One-click WordPress installation, automatic management, LiteSpeed caching, JetBackup, SSL, malware protection and migration assistance are included. The available packages support 3, 10 or unlimited websites.

The Managed VPS range moves into considerably more powerful infrastructure. Entry configurations include 4 CPU cores, 6 GB RAM, 100 GB NVMe storage, 3 TB traffic and two IP addresses. Larger VPS packages reach 10 CPU cores, 14 GB RAM, 350 GB NVMe storage and 8 TB of traffic.

DirectAdmin is included with managed VPS hosting, while cPanel/WHM can be added as a paid alternative. Root access remains available, but Hosticon takes care of regular server administration. Management includes server migrations, boot and login problems, hardware and network troubleshooting, operating-system rebuilds, basic performance optimization, patching, hardening, firewall configuration and application setup.

A separate unmanaged KVM VPS service in India is intended for customers comfortable administering their own Linux server. Configurations begin with one CPU core, 2 GB RAM, 50 GB NVMe storage and 1 TB bandwidth. The largest standard configuration provides four CPU cores, 12 GB RAM, 300 GB NVMe storage and 4 TB bandwidth. cPanel is available at additional cost.

Managed Cloud Hosting uses KVM virtualization together with an NVMe storage cluster. Plans start with 4 vCPUs, 6 GB RAM and 80 GB NVMe storage and scale to 10 vCPUs, 16 GB RAM and 280 GB NVMe. Two IPv4 addresses and a /64 IPv6 allocation are included.

Cloud resources are dedicated to each virtual machine, while hardware redundancy allows workloads to be restarted on replacement hardware if an underlying host fails. CPU, memory and storage can also be increased without requiring a traditional migration to another server. DirectAdmin is included, while cPanel remains an optional paid control panel.

Dedicated Servers are also available for applications requiring full hardware resources, root access and isolation from other customers. Dedicated server ordering is more sales-driven than the VPS and cloud range, with current hardware configurations and pricing handled directly with Hosticon.

Domain registration and transfers are available together with standard domain-management functions such as authorization codes and transfer management. Hosting accounts include automatic SSL, while commercial certificates from RapidSSL and GeoTrust are available for customers requiring branded single-domain or wildcard SSL certificates.

Professional business email is based on Open-Xchange OX App Suite. The basic service provides a 10 GB mailbox, custom-domain email, webmail, IMAP, calendars, contacts, tasks, CalDAV/CardDAV, antivirus protection, spam filtering and migration tools. OX App Suite + Productivity increases mailbox capacity to 25 GB, adds 25 GB of cloud file storage and includes browser-based office applications for documents, spreadsheets and presentations.

The OX platform supports English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Japanese. Hosticon's main website operates in English, while product billing is available in USD and INR.

The company continues to maintain its technical blog with hosting, domain and WordPress-related content. The Hosticon.com brand reached its 15-year milestone in 2025, while the underlying hosting business itself dates back to 2005.
