Hostalia is an established Spanish hosting and domain-registration company with roots dating back to 2000–2001. Technology entrepreneur Eneko Knörr founded the business, which later became part of acens and subsequently joined the Telefónica group. Hostalia now operates within Telefónica Tech’s cloud and cybersecurity structure, giving it access to considerably more technical and corporate resources than a typical independent hosting provider.

The company manages more than 203,000 domain names for over 92,000 customers. Its long presence in Spain, extensive service catalog and Spanish-based support make it particularly relevant for individuals, small companies, ecommerce businesses and professional agencies targeting the Spanish market.

Hostalia covers nearly every stage of building and operating an online presence. Its services include domain registration, domain transfers, DNS management, SSL certificates, Linux shared hosting, website builders, managed web design, ecommerce platforms, professional email, Exchange Online, Microsoft 365, cloud servers, dedicated servers, SEO tools, email marketing and managed digital advertising.

The domain service supports popular generic and country-code extensions, including .com and .es. Domain customers receive DNS controls, web and email forwarding, a parking page and basic online-presentation tools. Eligible domain and hosting combinations also include an SSL certificate, although the domain normally needs to use Hostalia’s DNS infrastructure.

The SSL range includes free domain-validated protection as well as commercial certificates suitable for businesses and ecommerce websites. Paid options cover domain validation, organization validation and extended validation, with encryption of up to 256 bits, certificate reissuance and different warranty levels.

Linux shared hosting remains one of Hostalia’s strongest products. Current packages use NVMe storage, Spanish IP addresses and Plesk administration. The platform includes SiteJet, Imunify360, anti-DDoS protection, daily backups, two-factor authentication and support for several PHP versions.

Advanced hosting increases the available processing power, memory and mailbox allowance, while Performance hosting is intended for larger websites and more demanding applications.

Daily backups are retained for up to seven days. Imunify360 adds malware detection, intrusion protection and firewall functions, while SPF and DKIM improve outgoing-email authentication. Password-protected directories and detailed panel-access logs provide additional account security.

Hostalia’s Tu Web service is aimed at customers who want to build a website without managing a content-management system. It includes responsive templates, AI-assisted text generation, unlimited pages, email, SSL, blogging, multilingual content and basic ecommerce functions. Businesses can also add appointment booking and accept payments through integrations such as Redsys, PayPal, Stripe and bank transfer.

The managed web-design service is a more practical alternative for customers who prefer Hostalia to create and maintain the site. Depending on the package, it includes responsive design, written content, ecommerce setup, Google Business Profile assistance, regular modifications, reporting and basic SEO work.

The dedicated ecommerce platform supports catalogs ranging from small shops to stores with as many as 200,000 products. It includes product management, order handling, discount coupons, shipping rules, SSL and email. Store integrations cover Redsys, Bizum, PayPal, bank transfer, SendCloud, MRW, Google Shopping, Facebook, Instagram, eBay and Amazon. Larger plans support additional languages, storage and more extensive product catalogs.

Digital marketing services add another layer to the portfolio. Cloud SEO helps monitor rankings, competitors, keywords and technical website problems. Email Marketing includes newsletters, forms, landing pages, SMTP delivery, automation, surveys and campaign reports. Local Marketing synchronizes company information across maps and directories, while Managed Advertising covers professional search, display, retargeting and shopping campaigns.

Professional Email provides business mailboxes with webmail, calendars, contacts, tasks, shared storage, antivirus, antispam and two-factor authentication. ActiveSync, POP and IMAP are supported, allowing customers to use desktop and mobile email applications.

Exchange Online offers Microsoft-hosted business mailboxes with 50 GB or 100 GB of storage. Microsoft 365 packages add Office applications, OneDrive, SharePoint and, depending on the selected license, Microsoft Teams. European Economic Area packages without Teams are also available.

The dedicated-server range uses Dell PowerEdge hardware, Intel Xeon processors and SSD storage configured in RAID 1. Plans range from 16 GB to 128 GB of RAM and include anti-DDoS protection, a 100 Mbps port and unlimited transfer. Customers can add Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Plesk, external backups, monitoring or complete server administration.

Hostalia’s website has a modern responsive design and works properly on desktop and mobile screens. The main commercial environment is in Spanish and prices are displayed in euros. No complete English-language storefront exists, making the service most convenient for Spanish-speaking customers.
