With shared hosting solutions, data protection is guaranteed with backup and free SSL included to all domains. These are optimized for WordPress via 1-click app install and include domain names as well (one or more depending on the plan you choose). One inconvenience might appear in the fact that some features that generally come in unlimited amount (MySQL databases, FTP accounts, email accounts) are limited here, except for the advanced-level plan.

VPS servers offer full control of installing the programs you want for your server. These are configured in Virtuozzo power panel, include SSH access, support for PHP and MySQL and run on Linux CentOS operating system. Optionally, you can get FPT backup and Plesk 100 domains.
