HoganHost is a Nigerian web hosting, domain registration, cloud infrastructure, and digital services company founded on September 9, 2019. The business was established by Atim Hogan and Joseph Effiok Hogan, while Mrs. Patience Hogan serves as Chief Growth Officer and Co-Chief Executive Officer. HoganHost operates as a privately held company with an estimated team of 11 to 50 employees.

The company has grown into a broad hosting provider rather than remaining limited to basic shared hosting. Its services include domain registration, domain transfers, domain reseller tools, free DNS management, shared hosting, offshore hosting, reseller hosting, VPS, cloud servers, managed and unmanaged dedicated servers, web design, digital marketing, technical training, and hosting-company acquisitions. HoganHost is also an accredited NiRA registrar for Nigerian domain extensions and has accumulated a number of industry recognitions since 2020.

Its expansion continued in 2026 through the acquisition of ZuumHost (zuumhost.com). ZuumHost continues operating as an independent subsidiary with its own identity, customer base, and platform, while gaining access to HoganHost infrastructure and technical resources. The purchase value was not disclosed. HoganHost itself has remained independently owned after Joseph Effiok Hogan declined a separate acquisition proposal.

Domain services cover Nigerian and international extensions, including .ng, .com.ng, .com, .net, .org, and numerous newer country-code and generic extensions. Customers receive a domain management interface for DNS records, forwarding, and related administration. Domain resellers can work through an API and WHMCS module, while the free DNS platform can be used with domains registered through other companies.

Shared Hosting is divided into Mini, Shared, and Professional packages. Mini 1 is priced at ₦250 per month for one website, unlimited storage under the fair-use rules, 1 GB monthly bandwidth, unlimited subdomains, email accounts, SSL, and cPanel. Mini 2 raises the bandwidth allowance to 2 GB for ₦550 per month. Shared 1 costs ₦1,500 per month, Shared 2 costs ₦2,300 for as many as five websites, and Professional Hosting costs ₦4,500 with support for unlimited websites.

The least expensive Mini package is not always available for immediate ordering, making ₦550 to ₦1,500 per month a more realistic starting range for new customers. The use of unlimited storage is also subject to practical restrictions. Storage must contain files actively used by a hosted website or its associated email accounts. Shared plans cannot be used as general backup space, file archives, download repositories, video-sharing platforms, or unrelated media storage. Accounts are restricted to 600,000 inodes.

Email access may remain disabled until HoganHost confirms that a website is being used for a legitimate purpose. This extra check can reduce abuse on low-cost accounts, although customers planning to use email immediately should complete the verification process before transferring their main business correspondence.

Offshore Hosting offers more flexible content handling and privacy for projects that may not fit a conventional shared environment. Mini Offshore costs ₦3,500 per month with 15 GB of storage, Basic Offshore costs ₦4,500 with 25 GB, and Professional Offshore costs ₦6,500 with unlimited storage and support for unlimited websites. Offshore hosting does not remove the customer’s legal responsibilities. Phishing, malware distribution, fraud, child exploitation, and other illegal activity remain prohibited. The main difference is that copyright and content complaints are assessed according to the applicable hosting jurisdiction rather than automatically leading to immediate suspension.

Reseller Hosting is available in standard and offshore configurations. Standard reseller hosting currently starts at ₦10,000 per month for 50 cPanel accounts and one WHM account. The ₦20,000 Master plan increases the allocation to 100 cPanel accounts and ten WHM accounts. The ₦35,000 Alpha package also supports five master reseller accounts. Private nameservers, white-label operation, SSL, and LiteSpeed are included.

Offshore reseller packages are priced at ₦25,000, ₦50,000, and ₦75,000 per month. Depending on the package, customers receive 25 or 50 cPanel accounts, with the higher levels adding reseller and master reseller capabilities. Unmanaged servers include root access but normally exclude a commercial hosting control panel, managed backups, and a client-side reboot interface. Root access is not supplied with managed VPS packages because HoganHost maintains control of the system configuration. This makes administration easier for customers who do not want to manage the operating system, although it also limits custom server modifications. Backup availability can depend on the selected package, so an independent backup copy remains important.

Dedicated Servers are also divided into managed and unmanaged options. Unmanaged Dedicated 1 costs ₦81,000 per month and includes an Intel Core i7-8700 processor, 16 GB RAM, 2 TB SSD storage, IPv4 and IPv6, and 32 TB of traffic. The configuration lists 12 CPU cores. Unmanaged Dedicated 2 costs ₦97,700 per month with 32 GB RAM and 3 TB SSD storage.

Customers receive root or Windows administrator access on unmanaged dedicated servers and remain responsible for the operating system, security, software, control-panel licensing, and backups. Some servers do not include a client-side reboot panel, meaning a restart may require assistance from the support department.

Managed dedicated servers start at ₦104,300 per month for eight cores, 16 GB RAM, and 1 TB SSD storage. The ₦143,000 package includes 12 cores, 32 GB RAM, and 1.5 TB SSD storage. Both packages include cPanel/WHM, CloudLinux, Imunify360, Softaculous, LiteSpeed, monitoring, security management, and priority support. Root access is withheld because the server remains under HoganHost administration.

Available server operating systems include Ubuntu, Windows, CentOS, FreeBSD, AlmaLinux, and Rocky Linux. Windows licensing may add a monthly fee. Webmin, Docker, and LAMP-based deployments are also possible on compatible unmanaged servers.

Cloud Hosting adds instant provisioning, IPv6, SSD or NVMe storage, snapshots, DNS administration, firewall controls, DDoS protection, resource scaling, and flexible billing. Entry pricing is associated with ₦3,500, while the final cost depends on the resources selected through the cloud provisioning platform.

Cloud instances can be created, resized, or removed without waiting for a conventional manual server setup. Customers can also install cPanel or another compatible control panel. The cloud service is supported by a partnership with DigitalOcean, giving HoganHost customers access to globally distributed cloud infrastructure while retaining local billing and assistance through the Nigerian provider.
