📄 Editorial Review

Genesis is a Bosnian web hosting and domain-registration provider operated by Globalhost d.o.o. from Novi Travnik. An important change took place in February 2024, when Globalhost acquired the Genesis hosting service and integrated it into its existing hosting infrastructure. Globalhost's hosting activity dates back to 2002, while the present Globalhost d.o.o. legal entity was incorporated in 2015. Perica Dujmović is the owner and director of the company.

Genesis maintains a deliberately compact product portfolio centered on Shared Web Hosting, Domain Registration, domain transfers and DNS management. Customers needing VPS, dedicated servers or other infrastructure services can use the broader Globalhost portfolio, while Genesis itself remains focused mainly on traditional website and domain customers.

Shared Web Hosting is divided into three plans. Basic Plan Hosting includes 15 GB SSD storage, up to three CPU cores, 3 GB RAM, 20 entry processes, 400,000 inodes, one addon domain and one parked domain. Advanced increases the allocation to 50 GB SSD, five CPU cores, 5 GB RAM, 40 entry processes, five addon domains and five parked domains. Enterprise reaches 150 GB SSD, ten CPU cores, 10 GB RAM, 100 entry processes, 500,000 inodes and up to 15 addon and parked domains.

All shared plans include unlimited traffic, unlimited MySQL/MariaDB databases, unlimited email accounts, SSL, MultiPHP, Node.js, HTTP/2, Imunify360 security and L3/L4 DDoS protection. The environment uses CloudLinux together with Webuzo (webuzo.com) for account administration.

The hosting platform uses enterprise SSD storage and includes automatic SSL certificates. Daily backups are retained for up to 90 days, and free migration assistance is available for customers moving an existing website to Genesis. Hosting accounts can also be upgraded later through the customer panel as resource requirements increase.

The general service terms place responsibility for maintaining independent copies of important customer data on the account owner. This remains good practice even with the included backup system, particularly for business-critical websites, databases and email.

Domain Registration is another important part of the business. Genesis handles Bosnian extensions including .ba, .org.ba, .gov.ba, .edu.ba and .net.ba together with a large selection of international and regional extensions such as .com, .net, .org, .eu, .me, .rs, .hr, .app, .club, .it and .es.

Domain management includes DNS administration and access to an online domain-management panel. WHOIS privacy is available as an additional service for compatible extensions, although it does not apply to .ba domains.

The Genesis website supports Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian, English and Spanish, making the service accessible beyond the domestic Bosnian market. Product pricing is primarily shown in Bosnia and Herzegovina convertible marks (BAM/KM).

A particularly strong aspect of Genesis is the direct connection with Globalhost's infrastructure in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The service is therefore suitable for local companies, organizations and individual customers wanting their hosting, domains and technical support handled by a Bosnian provider rather than by a large international hosting platform.
