FuturaHosters is a Swiss hosting provider operated by Mercury Labs SAGL, a limited-liability company based in Mendrisio, Switzerland. The hosting business dates back to 2006, while Mercury Labs SAGL was entered in the Swiss Commercial Register on July 28, 2006. Reto Kessler is the CEO of FuturaHosters and is currently responsible for the management of Mercury Labs SAGL. The business originated from a group of network and systems engineers, software developers and long-time friends.

The service portfolio combines Linux Shared Hosting, Domain Registration and Transfers, SSL Certificates, Voice Server Hosting, Game Server Hosting, e-mail services, DNS management, software installation and custom hosting solutions. There are no current VPS or Dedicated Server packages in the regular product range.

Linux Web Hosting is available as Bronze, Silver and Gold. Bronze includes 10 GB of web space, Silver 15 GB and Gold 20 GB, while all plans come with unlimited traffic. Accounts support multiple domains, MySQL databases, FTP users, subdomains and hosted e-mail accounts.

Bronze includes three MySQL databases and 10 mailboxes with 1 GB of storage each. Silver increases the allocation to five databases and 15 mailboxes with 2.5 GB each, while Gold includes ten databases and 20 mailboxes with 5 GB each. Multiple PHP versions from 5.3 through 8.3 are supported, together with XML/XSL, SSI and the usual Linux hosting functionality.

All three hosting packages include Let's Encrypt SSL, daily backups and customer-accessible restore functions. WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Magento, Zen Cart, phpBB, MyBB, SMF and other applications can be installed through the integrated software installer. The hosting environment is Apache-based.

The current hosting environment uses Enhance CP for management of websites, e-mail, databases and files. Some Linux package information still references i-MSCP, indicating that older and newer hosting configurations may coexist. Customers moving an existing site or requiring a specific panel should confirm which platform will be assigned to their account.

Domain Registration includes DNS management, nameserver changes, custom IP configuration, forwarding and private WHOIS where the registry permits it. Domain transfers offer the same management functions, making it possible to keep domains, hosting, DNS and e-mail services under the same customer account.

SSL Certificates include Domain Validation, Organization Validation, Extended Validation and Wildcard options. Entry-level DV certificates include RapidSSL, while the range also includes GeoTrust products. DV certificates can normally be issued quickly, while OV and EV products require progressively more detailed company verification.

Commercial SSL products support 256-bit encryption, free reissues and broad browser compatibility. Certificate warranties vary by product and can reach substantial amounts for higher-end organization and extended-validation certificates. Wildcard certificates provide coverage for multiple subdomains under the same domain.

Voice Server Hosting is available for TeamSpeak 3 and Mumble with unlimited bandwidth, multiple channels and configurable voice codecs. TeamSpeak supports CELT, Speex and Opus, while Mumble supports Opus, GSM and Speex. Administration includes channel permissions, passwords, push-to-talk, voice activation, custom icons and file-management functions.

Both TeamSpeak 3 and Mumble can be tested through a 2-day free trial with five slots. Voice hosting uses a High Availability architecture and most administration is performed directly through the corresponding TeamSpeak or Mumble client.

Game Server Hosting covers titles including CS:GO, CS:GO 128 Tick, Arma 3, 7 Days to Die, Insurgency, BrainBread 2, ARK: Survival Evolved and Minecraft, together with custom game-server arrangements. Packages include unlimited disk space and traffic, SSD storage, a web-based management interface and support for add-ons.

The game-server control environment can be used for installation, upgrades, reinstallations, configuration changes and mod management. Separate permission levels can also be assigned to additional users.

FuturaHosters supports English, French, German and Italian. English is fully supported, while localized French, German and Italian interfaces are also available. Some service information remains in English even when another interface language is selected. Product prices are primarily denominated in Swiss francs (CHF), with EUR also available for parts of the ordering system.

The company has a long operating history, although some service documentation has accumulated over many years. Older and newer hosting specifications can therefore overlap, particularly around the web-hosting control panel and uptime figures.
