📄 Editorial Review
DomainPeople is an old domain-services brand with a history going back to 1999. The company remains an active ICANN-accredited registrar, with Registrar ID 65, and its strongest present-day role is domain stewardship, registrar compliance, DNS management, legal-policy continuity, and support for existing or former registrants. This is not a normal modern hosting company profile anymore. DomainPeople no longer offers services directly to customers or resellers in the way a full retail hosting provider would. That point is important for future customers because older product areas are still online, but the business itself is now much closer to a legacy registrar and account-support brand than an active, competitive web hosting storefront.
Historically, DomainPeople offered domain registration, shared web hosting, Linux hosting, Windows hosting, email hosting, Hosted Exchange, Open-Xchange email, DNS management, domain forwarding, email forwarding, domain privacy, domain protection, and reseller-oriented domain services. The old shared hosting range included Cloudhost Primer and Cloudhost PowerPack, available in both Linux and Windows variants. These plans were built around cloud hosting, clustered infrastructure, automated resource allocation, load balancing, redundant storage, website tools, email accounts, and high monthly traffic allowances.
The broader domain portfolio remains the more credible part of the business. DomainPeople has experience with domain registrations, domain renewals, domain transfers, bulk domain management, new gTLDs, ccTLDs, DNS customization, WhoisProtector, WhoisProtector Lite, and DomainGuard. For existing customers, this can still be useful for domain continuity, nameserver changes, DNS records, renewals, privacy options, and registrar support.
Based on WHTop research, domainpeople.com appears to show a largely dormant business profile in 2026. Its current offer seems limited mainly to domain registration, while older WHTop product monitoring indicates that the company previously listed Email and Shared Hosting services back in January 2019.
Another concern is the lack of visible pricing evolution. The .com domain price appears to have remained unchanged since January 2019, at $24.95/year, which is relatively high compared with many domain-focused competitors in the industry.
Corporate history also helps explain the current situation. DomainPeople has long been associated with the Hostway / NetNation ecosystem. Hostway later became part of a broader managed-cloud and infrastructure path involving Hosting.com and Ntirety. DomainPeople now fits better as a legacy registrar/domain-management brand inside that older hosting history, rather than a standalone modern hosting provider.

😠 Very bad company
Very bad company, they didn't want to adhere to the two factor autentication for the credid card transaction, as per the EU rules, where I live, so I wasn't able to renew my domain, I tried several times but all my transactions were refused from my bank because of Domainpeople does not use two factor authentication (the only one in the world), so I lost my domain.
I wrote several emails but they did not help me in any way.
Stay away from them!
