do.de, also known as Domain-Offensive, is a German domain registrar and shared hosting provider operated by Greenmark IT GmbH in Alfeld, Lower Saxony. The Domain-Offensive service began in 2006, following internet-related business activity that dates back to 1999. Andreas Gundelach initiated the Domain-Offensive concept in January 2006, and the first version of the service went online in April of that year. Greenmark IT GmbH has operated under its current company name since 2009.

The company manages more than 300,000 domains and employs a team of approximately 15 people. It became an officially accredited ICANN registrar on September 29, 2025, giving it direct control over the registration and administration of generic top-level domains. Stephan Hageleit joined the company as CEO in March 2026, while Andreas Gundelach and Ali Jasharov remain listed as managing directors.

Domain registration and management form the core of the business. Customers can choose from hundreds of country-code, generic and specialized domain extensions, transfer existing domains, manage DNS records, activate DNSSEC, create redirects and configure five free email forwards for each domain. Every domain also includes access to a basic web business card, automatic renewal controls and transfer-protection functions.

A domain sales agent is available for customers interested in purchasing a domain that is already registered by another owner. The service handles the initial contact and assists with the negotiation and transfer process.

Domain-Safe adds stronger protection for important or commercially valuable domains. It can secure nameserver changes, DNS modifications, contact updates, transfer requests, cancellation instructions, AuthCode generation and DNSSEC changes. Sensitive operations require two-factor authentication, including support for FIDO2 and WebAuthn-compatible hardware security keys. Premium Anycast DNS is also included.

The hosting portfolio concentrates on Linux shared web hosting. The company does not maintain a conventional catalog of VPS, dedicated-server or colocation services. Its three shared hosting packages are basicWEB, premiumWEB and businessWEB, with 10 GB, 25 GB and 50 GB of SSD storage. Depending on the selected plan, customers can host between five and 25 domains, create between 25 and 250 email addresses and use between 192 MB and 512 MB of PHP memory.

All packages include PHP 8.4, SSD storage for websites and MySQL databases, SSL encryption, email hosting, malware protection, hacking protection, an intelligent firewall and traffic governed by a fair-use policy. WordPress and Joomla can be installed through a one-click installer. WordPress websites also benefit from an NGINX caching layer. Fully managed WordPress maintenance is available through a separately arranged service rather than as a standard feature of every hosting package.

Email hosting is included with the web hosting plans. Customers receive personalized email addresses, IMAP and POP3 access, responsive webmail, encrypted connections, autoresponders, spam filtering, virus filtering and support for attachments of up to 50 MB. Automatic daily mailbox backups provide additional protection against accidental email loss.

Free SSL protection is included with hosting, while three commercial certificate options are available for customers requiring stronger validation. premiumSSL provides domain validation, businessSSL adds organization validation and businessProSSL uses extended validation. Wildcard coverage is available with the domain-validated and organization-validated products.

FlexDNS provides dynamic DNS functionality without a separate service fee beyond the cost of the domain. It supports IPv4, IPv6, changing IPv6 prefixes, wildcard subdomains, SSL and A, AAAA, CNAME and MX records. A short DNS TTL of 180 seconds makes the service suitable for home servers, remote-access systems, surveillance devices and internet connections without a permanent IP address.

Business customers with larger domain portfolios receive centralized administration, bulk operations, internal access-right management, custom company branding, expiration notifications and additional transfer safeguards. Agencies and resellers can also use API access, subcustomer administration and private-label functions through the related ResellerInterface platform.

The website has a modern and responsive design that works properly on desktop and mobile devices. The storefront, product information, customer account and contractual process are primarily available in German. English can be used for certain support and legal communications, but the service is mainly intended for German-speaking customers. All standard prices are displayed in euros and generally include 19% German VAT.
