The EPYC 9274F configuration provides 48 stated cores with a 4.1GHz maximum figure, 1.1 TB of DDR5 RAM, two 4 TB NVMe SSDs, a 10 Gbps dedicated uplink and 50 TB of monthly traffic. It is located in Buffalo, New York, and costs $1,140 per month with no setup fee. The two drives provide 8 TB of raw capacity before any redundant layout. Its unusually large memory allocation and fast network port target dense databases, memory-heavy services and consolidation workloads that would not fit the smaller Ryzen systems.
Every current dedicated server includes 50 TB of monthly transfer, one usable IPv4 address from a /30 allocation, a free IPv6 /64, in-line DDoS protection and IPMI remote management. The network port is dedicated rather than shared, and BGP sessions are available for customers using their own IP space or ASN. DataWagon LLC was founded in 2014 by CJ Sculti, who remains its chief executive. The business has a 2–10 employee range and identifies as a small company, yet it has deployed more than 10,000 servers. Its Buffalo and Chicago facilities together can accommodate over 10,000 physical machines, giving the operation more scale than the staff count initially suggests.This is not a conventional shared-hosting supplier. There are no shared cPanel accounts, reseller subscriptions, domain products, or packaged business mailboxes. The focus is VPS, Dedicated Hosting, attachable storage, BGP connectivity, and an internally engineered DDoS platform. Customers are expected to understand server administration or arrange it separately, making the service most suitable for developers, experienced hosts, online platforms, and businesses that need direct control over an operating system.
Four virtual-server sizes form a straightforward ladder. DW-8G begins with four vCPU cores, 8 GB DDR4, 80 GB NVMe, and 5 TB of transfer. DW-16G moves to six cores, 16 GB, 160 GB, and 10 TB. DW-32G provides 12 cores, 32 GB, 320 GB, and 20 TB, while DW-64G reaches 24 cores, 64 GB, 500 GB, and 50 TB. All use 3.5GHz-or-faster AMD EPYC Milan processors, KVM virtualization, and RAID 10 NVMe storage. Assigned resources are not oversold, an important distinction for workloads that need predictable memory and CPU access.
Deployment is automatic once payment clears. New York, Chicago, and London are selectable for DW-8G, DW-16G, and DW-32G; DW-64G currently offers Chicago and London. Standard choices include Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS, and AlmaLinux, while a custom ISO can be uploaded for another system. Windows Server 2019, 2022, and 2025 are available only as 180-day evaluation editions. Continued Windows use requires a separately obtained Microsoft license, so the apparent no-cost template should not be mistaken for permanent commercial licensing.
Virtual-server protection is unusually complete for the price. An encrypted automated backup runs every 72 hours, a free IPv6 /64 is available, and in-house DDoS filtering is included. Extra IPv4 addresses can be selected, and attachable block storage costs $6 per TB. That storage uses an NVMe-cached RAID 10 system over RDMA-accelerated InfiniBand. A server can also be converted into a reusable template, which is valuable for repeat deployments.
Fair-share CPU rules remain a practical limit. Video encoding or transcoding, cryptocurrency mining, node activity, and another sustained processor-heavy task require the $20 dedicated-CPU add-on. Ordinary customers retain their assigned VPS resources, but continuously saturating a fair-share processor without that option violates the acceptable-use policy. This distinction should be included in capacity planning rather than discovered after deployment.
The bare-metal range contains four very different systems. A dual Intel Xeon E5-2680 v2 server in Chicago, Illinois includes 256 GB DDR3, a 1 TB SSD, a 1 Gbps dedicated port, and 50 TB of transfer. The Ryzen 7900X in Buffalo, New York combines 64 GB DDR5, two 1 TB NVMe drives, a 10 Gbps port, and 50 TB. A storage-heavy Ryzen 5950X supplies 128 GB DDR4 and five 8 TB NVMe drives on 1 Gbps, while the EPYC 9274F reaches 1.1 TB DDR5, two 4 TB NVMe drives, and 10 Gbps. Both higher-priced AMD systems are also located in Buffalo and include 50 TB.
Drive quantities should be interpreted as raw hardware rather than guaranteed usable RAID capacity. The Ryzen 7900X has 2 TB across two listed drives, the Ryzen 5950X has 40 TB across five, and the EPYC 9274F has 8 TB across two. The live configuration defaults to no disk layout, so redundancy, usable capacity, and the effect of a failed drive depend on the arrangement chosen at order time. This is especially important on the 40 TB system, where a redundant array can materially reduce the space visible to the operating system. IPMI simplifies recovery work but does not replace a separate copy of irreplaceable data.
Every Dedicated Server has one usable IPv4 address from a /30, an IPv6 /64, IPMI access, and automatic provisioning targeted at 15 minutes. IPMI covers reinstallation, reboot, and remote KVM console access. The image library spans Linux, Proxmox, VMware, Windows Server trials, rescue environments, memory tests, disk tools, and other diagnostics. Current releases are present, but old choices such as CentOS 7 remain visible and can even be the default, so deployment should begin with an explicit supported-image selection.
DataWagon’s DDoS Protection handles raw, amplified, and spoofed UDP as well as TCP reset, SYN, ACK, FIN, and custom attack patterns. The system was built internally at both hardware and software levels, and three engineers work on mitigation and filtering. New York capacity is identified at up to 80 Gbit/s per attack, while the broader network exceeds 100 Gbps. Mitigation is bundled with the server products; there is no separately priced, fully specified mitigation subscription suitable for its own catalog row.
Use policies are strict even though privacy and free speech are central themes. Spam, bulk or opt-in marketing email, open relays, infringement, unauthorized access, scanning, malware, denial-of-service activity, CamFrog servers, fraud, and illegal content are prohibited. Spam can trigger a $250 charge plus $5 for every complaint. A customer reselling server access remains responsible for downstream users and can be affected by enforcement against one of them.
Traffic limits also have contractual force. Each plan carries its stated allowance, excess use can be charged by the full gigabyte, and a fraction above a gigabyte can be treated as the entire unit. Budget unmetered service, when available, cannot degrade other users or the provider’s backbone. Accounts that create a persistent network burden can be suspended, terminated, or moved to a higher commitment. These provisions make monitoring important on the 5 TB entry VPS and on services approaching the 50 TB allowance; an unexpectedly popular download or attack should not be left unobserved until the invoice arrives.
