Criticalcase S.r.l. operates under the management and coordination of Critical Holding S.r.l., within a broader group covering cloud infrastructure, content delivery, cybersecurity, technical outsourcing, and managed hosting.

Criticalcase mainly serves enterprises, public administrations, system integrators, software developers, web agencies, e-commerce businesses, media organizations, and companies running business-critical online services. The organization falls within the 51–200 employee range on LinkedIn, while the broader group has a technical team of more than 200 specialists.

Its infrastructure supports more than 4,000 cloud servers, 1,000 managed physical servers, 12 PB of stored data, and over 3,000 customers. This is not a conventional low-cost hosting provider built around shared hosting plans, domain bundles, or basic cPanel accounts. Services are designed individually according to application requirements, expected traffic, compliance obligations, recovery objectives, security needs, and available budget.

The Virtual Datacenter service supports Linux and Windows virtual machines, unlimited virtual LANs, and flexible deployment without a fixed limit on the number of virtual servers. These services combine SD-WAN, cloud firewalling, secure web access, Cloud Access Security Broker functions, and Zero Trust Network Access through a cloud-native private backbone. Branch offices, remote employees, cloud platforms, and data centers can therefore operate under one security and connectivity architecture.

Criticalcase also has an extensive performance and content-delivery portfolio covering CDN, Multi-CDN, China CDN, live streaming, on-demand video, image optimization, video optimization, high-performance DNS, application monitoring, business monitoring, and global network acceleration.

The China CDN combines local infrastructure and providers such as Tencent Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, China Net Center, and Akamai. Assistance is also available for the ICP licensing process required for many commercial online services operating within mainland China.

Image and video management integrates Cloudinary technology for media storage, transformation, automatic optimization, secure CDN distribution, AI-assisted processing, role-based access, APIs, and signed delivery URLs. In January 2025, Criticalcase acquired Resò S.r.l. of Chivasso, strengthening its monitoring, support, and field-service capabilities. Resò contributed a network operations center supervising approximately 30,000 sensors, a data-processing environment of around 15 racks, and field infrastructure responsibilities covering more than 130 retail locations. Its NOC was integrated with Criticalcase support operations to expand continuous technical coverage.
