📄 Editorial Review
CodeSigningStore.com is a U.S.-based specialist in digital code-signing certificates and software-signing security rather than a conventional web hosting provider. The dedicated brand has operated since 2019, while its broader corporate background extends through The SSL Store, a long-established SSL and PKI reseller. CodeSigningStore operates from St. Petersburg, Florida through Rapid Web Services, LLC, which is part of DigiCert. The company concentrates on OV Code Signing Certificates, EV Code Signing Certificates, Individual Code Signing, Cloud Code Signing and enterprise software-signing management. These products are aimed at software developers, independent publishers and organizations that need to digitally sign applications, drivers, scripts and other executable software. Supported environments include Microsoft Authenticode, Windows applications and drivers, Java, PowerShell, Visual Studio and ClickOnce, Microsoft Office and VBA, Adobe AIR, Electron applications and common formats such as EXE, MSI, CAB, DLL and OCX.
The main certificate brands include DigiCert, Sectigo, Comodo CA and GoGetSSL. Standard OV certificates authenticate the software publisher and replace Unknown Publisher warnings after validation, while EV certificates use stricter organization verification and provide a higher-assurance identity for commercial software distribution and Windows driver signing.
An important change affects certificate duration. Regular code-signing certificates are now generally issued for one year, reflecting the industry changes introduced in February 2026. Some Sectigo HSM-based arrangements can still support longer coverage periods through certificate reissuance during the subscribed term.
Private-key protection follows the stronger code-signing requirements introduced by the CA/Browser Forum. Signing keys must remain on approved hardware or secure cloud infrastructure rather than being exported as ordinary local certificate files. Customers can receive a compliant USB token from the certificate authority, use compatible existing hardware or select a cloud-based signing service. Supported enterprise environments can include hardware security modules and services such as Microsoft Azure Key Vault and Amazon AWS KMS, depending on the selected certificate authority and provisioning method.
GoGetSSL Cloud Code Signing removes the need to manage a physical USB token. The private key remains protected inside a cloud HSM and signing access is handled through DigiCert KeyLocker. The package includes a DigiCert-issued code-signing certificate, one user seat and 1,000 signing operations, with additional signing credits available when needed. It works with familiar utilities such as SignTool and jarsigner and can also be integrated into automated CI/CD workflows. Both OV and EV alternatives are available.
For larger development teams, DigiCert Software Trust Manager provides centralized enterprise signing. Private keys remain protected by HSM hardware while developers and automated systems can sign through controlled interfaces, APIs and integrations. The platform adds granular permissions, signing policies, audit logging, workflow automation and centralized control over software releases, making it more suitable for development organizations with multiple users or frequent automated builds.
The website operates primarily in English and pricing is shown in U.S. dollars (USD). A substantial technical knowledge base covers certificate validation, hardware tokens, HSM deployment, Windows signing, Java, PowerShell, Visual Studio, Azure Key Vault, cloud signing and troubleshooting.
