📄 Editorial Review

CNDNS, widely known in China as Meicheng Internet, is operated by Shanghai Meicheng Technology Information Development Co., Ltd. Established in 2006, the company has registered capital of RMB 12 million and holds a cross-regional value-added telecommunications ISP license. Its legal representative is Ren Zhongjian.

The company has expanded well beyond conventional shared hosting and now operates as a broad internet infrastructure and SaaS provider. Its portfolio covers domain registration, DNS management, virtual hosting, cloud servers, dedicated servers, colocation, rack rental, remote-hands assistance, enterprise email, website building, CDN, SSL certificates, DDoS protection, web application security, private cloud, hybrid cloud, database services, online marketing and Chinese cybersecurity compliance.

CNDNS is an ICANN-accredited registrar under IANA Registrar ID 1621 and also maintains CNNIC registrar credentials for Chinese domains. Its domain services include English and Chinese extensions, transfers, WHOIS searches, multi-line intelligent DNS, SSL certificates, domain brokerage and aftermarket transactions through the related Chengmi platform. Typical prices include approximately ¥85 for a one-year .com registration and approximately ¥38 for a .cn domain, although promotional and premium-domain pricing may differ.

The shared and virtual hosting catalog includes Windows, Linux, .NET and JSP hosting. Customers can choose hosting in mainland China, Hong Kong or the United States, with packages combining website storage, databases, monthly data transfer and, on selected plans, Orange Mail accounts. Entry-level hosting starts with a compact 150 MB Windows package, while larger business plans provide several gigabytes of storage, larger databases and higher traffic allowances.

Some hosting specifications are noticeably dated. Several packages still reference Windows Server 2008, CentOS 6, Ubuntu 12.04 and older PHP branches. The separate mobile cloud platform includes newer choices such as Ubuntu 24.04 and optional BaoTa installation, but customers should confirm the exact operating-system images and software versions available for their selected location. The main corporate interface is functional and relatively modern, while several product sections retain older fixed-width layouts that are less convenient on small screens.

Orange Cloud provides VPS-style virtual servers with configurable processors, memory, SSD storage, data disks and bandwidth. Available configurations extend to 16 CPU cores, 32 GB of memory, 500 GB disks and 100 Mbps bandwidth, depending on the selected location. Customers receive full administrative access and can choose Windows or Linux.

Orange Cloud regions include Central China BGP, Shanghai Telecom, Hong Kong, Hong Kong CN2, Tokyo, Los Angeles and Washington. Optional DDoS protection is available in several capacities, ranging from basic filtering to larger mitigation packages for more exposed applications.

The company also supplies products connected with Alibaba Cloud, Tencent Cloud, Huawei Cloud, JD Cloud and Baidu Cloud. These services include cloud servers, cloud databases, CDN traffic, template hosting and assisted BaoTa deployment. Private-cloud and hybrid-cloud environments can be designed, installed, hosted and maintained for business customers with more specialized infrastructure requirements.

Dedicated servers are available with Dell or Huawei hardware, SSD storage, configurable RAID, domestic or international connectivity and customer-selected operating systems. Billing can be monthly, quarterly, semiannual or annual. Businesses that already own their equipment can use server colocation, full-rack rental, hardware procurement and remote-hands support.

Remote-hands assistance covers equipment inspection, cable replacement, hot-swappable component replacement, server installation, hardware upgrades, operating-system installation and basic network troubleshooting. Rack customers also receive bandwidth monitoring, traffic reports, IP address allocations and access to on-site technical engineers.

The SiteStar website builder is intended primarily for small and medium-sized businesses. It combines desktop websites, mobile sites, WeChat websites, mini programs and applications within one visual platform. Templates and drag-and-drop modules make it suitable for customers without programming experience, while custom website development and WordPress customization are also available.

Orange Mail is a comprehensive business-email platform. The Business edition includes 5 GB per user, support for 10 GB large-file transfers, a 5 GB enterprise drive, SSL access and additional domain aliases. Flagship and AI editions add unlimited mailbox capacity, seven-day deleted-message recovery, monitoring controls, AI assistance and translation.

The webmail platform supports Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and English. It also includes POP, IMAP and SMTP access, DKIM, DMARC, two-factor authentication, administrative logs, mailbox migration and centralized user and department management.

Security services include protected DNS, DDoS mitigation, SCDN, SSL certificates, vulnerability testing, vulnerability remediation, web security software and MLPS 2.0 compliance assistance. JD Cloud Star Shield combines website acceleration, web application firewall functions, bot management, CC-attack filtering, IPv4 and IPv6 support and managed OV certificates.

The principal CNDNS storefront is mainly available in Simplified Chinese. A separate international service interface supports overseas operations, and customer assistance is available in Mandarin, Cantonese and English.
