*📜 Plan description

The Enterprise tier uses customized volume pricing and negotiable quotas for hostnames, properties, certificates and edge hostnames. It provides full feature access, high request-rate limits and delivery through both global and China-focused server groups. Enterprise functions include WebSocket acceleration, staging, free SSL certificates with automatic renewal, purge and prefetch, basic and advanced attack mitigation, real-time logging, log downloads, origin shield, origin fast route, webhooks and API access. Published unit rates are $0.04 per GB for Standard, $0.08 per GB for Premium, $0.158 per GB for Deluxe, $0.237 per GB for Ultra, $0.043 per GB for China Standard, $0.079 per GB for China Premium and $0.938 per GB for Near China, plus $1.95 per CPU hour. China delivery can be enabled with or without ICP filing according to the applicable service group and regulatory requirements.

CDNetworks operates a large distributed edge platform built for global content delivery, application acceleration and traffic resilience. Requests can be routed to nearby edge points of presence according to network quality, geography, ISP reachability and available resources, reducing distance to users and lowering the load placed on the origin. The platform includes centralized configuration, traffic reporting, log access, certificate management, monitoring and API-driven operations through an in-house console. Standard assistance is available around the clock through email, an integrated ticket portal and regional telephone hotlines, while advanced service packages can add dedicated technical contacts, proactive optimization, emergency response, business reviews and live chat. Service availability commitments are handled through the applicable SLA and service credits rather than one universal public uptime percentage. Self-service billing can be charged to a credit card. No general money-back period is stated.

📄 Editorial Review

CDNetworks is a global content delivery, edge computing, cloud security, media delivery and network-infrastructure company founded in 2000 in South Korea by Samuel "Samuyeol" Ko. The company later established its headquarters in Singapore and developed an international organization with 14 offices and 10 research and development centers. Its workforce is within the 201–500 employee range.

Its corporate history includes several major ownership changes. CDNetworks acquired the US content-delivery company Panther Express in 2009. KDDI acquired an 85.5% interest in CDNetworks in 2011, while Hong Kong Wangsu Science & Technology acquired a 98% interest from KDDI in 2017. CDNetworks subsequently became part of the wider Wangsu Science & Technology (wangsu.com) infrastructure group.

This is not a conventional hosting provider for personal websites. Standard shared hosting, domain registration and cPanel reseller packages are not part of the service range. The infrastructure is designed primarily for large websites, SaaS platforms, online retailers, streaming providers, gaming companies, financial institutions and international businesses that require dependable delivery across multiple regions.

The core Web Performance platform accelerates websites, applications and APIs through intelligent routing, edge caching, global load balancing, origin shielding and optimized TCP connections. Static files are stored close to visitors, while dynamic requests follow optimized network routes toward the origin server.

Image-processing functions include resizing, cropping, rotation, format conversion and watermarking. Cache purging, content prefetching, traffic analytics, access control and anti-hotlink protection are also available.

Dynamic Web Acceleration improves the delivery of personalized pages, authenticated sessions, shopping carts, APIs and other content that cannot be handled through ordinary caching. It combines static and dynamic acceleration with connection pooling, WebSocket support and transport-layer optimization.

CDN Pro provides a more flexible platform for developers and infrastructure teams. It uses programmable NGINX configurations that can be distributed across regional server groups. Customers can manage cache policies, SSL certificates, origin routing, geographic rules, traffic controls and security functions from one interface.

CDN Pro also includes WAF protection, DDoS mitigation, real-time logs, Grafana-compatible monitoring, staging environments and REST API access. Server groups can be selected according to visitor country or Internet provider, allowing companies to balance performance and regional bandwidth costs.

The edge-computing portfolio includes Edge Application, a serverless JavaScript platform based on lightweight V8 isolates. It provides an online development environment, key-value storage, API deployment and automatic scaling. It can be used for redirects, authentication, content transformation, virtual waiting rooms, request filtering and business logic executed near the visitor.

Edge Computing Hosting provides distributed virtual machines at edge locations, including image management, monitoring, lifecycle controls, elastic deployment and API access. This service is closer to a geographically distributed cloud platform than to a traditional VPS.

EdgeRay adds hyperconverged infrastructure, private cloud, hybrid cloud, container environments, enterprise storage and dedicated infrastructure. These services are suitable for organizations that need a more customized deployment than a standard public-cloud instance.

Network products also include E-Optimize for accelerating non-cacheable TCP and UDP applications, E-Connect for SD-WAN and enterprise connectivity, High-Speed Data Transmission for transferring large files and application data, and Cloud DNS+ for managed authoritative DNS with Anycast routing.

Security is integrated into the same global edge network. The Cloud Security 2.0 portfolio combines DDoS protection, web application security, API protection and bot management within a unified WAAP environment.

Flood Shield 2.0 protects HTTP, HTTPS, WebSocket, TCP and UDP services against network-layer and application-layer DDoS attacks. The mitigation infrastructure has more than 20 Tbps of scrubbing capacity and over 40 scrubbing centers. Always-on protection can be combined with CDN delivery so attack traffic is filtered before reaching the origin infrastructure.

The Web Application Firewall includes more than 1,000 managed security signatures, custom rules, OWASP Top 10 protection, virtual patching, attack analytics and integration with external alerting and SIEM systems.

Bot Shield distinguishes legitimate visitors, approved automated services and malicious bots. It can reduce web scraping, account takeover attempts, carding, inventory abuse, automated purchasing and fraudulent transactions.

API Shield discovers and protects API endpoints throughout their lifecycle. It works alongside the WAF, DDoS and bot-management services, providing endpoint visibility, traffic analysis and policy enforcement.

Enterprise Secure Access applies zero-trust controls to employees and contractors accessing SaaS, cloud and private applications. Identity, device condition and user behavior can be evaluated at the edge, reducing dependence on a traditional corporate VPN.

Media services cover live broadcasting, low-latency streaming, video on demand, transcoding and object storage. Supported delivery technologies include RTMP, HTTP-FLV, HLS, DASH and CMAF.

Adaptive bitrate streaming, event recording, token authentication, geographic restrictions, DRM, watermarking and HLS encryption are available for broadcasters, OTT platforms and other media companies.

Object Storage provides scalable capacity for video, images, backups and downloadable files. It can be combined with media processing and CDN delivery, creating one workflow for storage, transformation and global distribution.

The infrastructure catalog also includes colocation hosting. Customers can order individual rack units, full racks, secured cages, shared protected space, IP transit and remote-hands assistance. Available rack power densities range from approximately 2 kW to 20 kW.

Professional services cover migration, performance optimization, security configuration, vulnerability analysis, incident response and high-traffic events. Technical Account Management is available for organizations that need continuous optimization and direct access to experienced engineers.

Businesses entering mainland China can also receive assistance with ICP registration and the technical requirements associated with operating and delivering content inside the country.

The website has a modern and responsive layout suitable for desktop and mobile access. Complete localized versions exist in English, Simplified Chinese, Japanese and Korean. Public self-service rates are displayed in US dollars, while enterprise contracts can use other currencies agreed through the applicable service order.
