BelugaCDN is a U.S.-based content delivery network and managed hosting provider with roots going back to 2015. BELUGACDN LLC was registered in Florida on July 31, 2014, while the commercial CDN operation followed in 2015. NuCDN LLC is associated with the corporate structure as the authorized member of BELUGACDN LLC. Alexander Nabutovsky was one of the original co-founders and served as CEO during the company's early development.

The core business is Content Delivery Network infrastructure rather than conventional shared hosting. BelugaCDN is suitable for website acceleration, software and file delivery, advertising content, game downloads and updates, live video and video-on-demand. The platform supports both IPv4 and IPv6, HTTP/2, compression, custom SSL certificates, token authentication, geo-blocking, hotlink protection, IP filtering, cache purging, API access and real-time analytics.

BelugaCDN Sonar adds real-time traffic statistics, while the RESTful API provides a practical way to automate CDN management. One of the more interesting technical developments in the company's history was its Grafana integration, which made it possible to combine CDN traffic statistics with origin-server monitoring, request rates, HTTP status codes, errors and geographic traffic information in a single monitoring environment.

Security is closely integrated with the CDN platform through DDoS protection, HTTPS, SSL certificate support, secure tokens, geo-blocking, hotlink protection and IP filtering. BelugaCDN also adopted IPv6 relatively early and implemented technologies such as HTTP/2, OCSP Stapling, ALPN/NPN, Perfect Forward Secrecy and dynamic TLS record sizing.

The company also operates Beluga Edge Managed WordPress Hosting. This service combines managed WordPress hosting with dedicated resources, automated backups, integrated website security, firewall protection, auto-healing features, DNS management, SSL and unlimited CDN traffic. Free website migration is included, while the higher plans are intended for freelancers, agencies and customers managing multiple WordPress installations.

Some parts of the hosting platform retain older specifications and pricing structures. The main hosting service has been available at lower promotional pricing than Beluga Edge, while different parts of the hosting range do not always follow the same product structure.
