📄 Editorial Review

banan.cz is a Czech web hosting, domain and website-services brand operated by e-BAAN Net s.r.o. from Ostrava. The business dates to 2005, when the company began building and hosting websites. Czech corporate records identify Michal Kaděra and Radovan Kaluža as the original equal shareholders and managing directors. The company is now wholly owned by E-BAAN,SE, while Michal Kaděra remains managing director following the end of Radovan Kaluža's management role in August 2026.

The service is aimed mainly at Czech small businesses, tradespeople, restaurants, schools, municipalities, nonprofit organizations and individuals that want hosting together with website management. The current portfolio covers shared Linux hosting, domain registration, email hosting, a proprietary website builder and CMS, e-commerce, SSL certificates, custom website design, SEO, PPC advertising, social-media services, analytics and ongoing website maintenance.

The standard Webhosting / Hosting Standard package costs 145 Kč per month excluding VAT. It includes 5 GB of web storage, PHP 8, MySQL, unlimited email accounts with a 5 GB mailbox allocation, regular backups, DDoS protection and an application firewall. Telephone assistance is included, and the platform is suitable for conventional PHP/MySQL applications as well as WordPress.

Web Aplikace combines hosting with Banan's own CMS and e-commerce environment. It costs 195 Kč per month excluding VAT and includes unlimited web space, unlimited email accounts, regular backups, technical assistance and higher application resources. It is aimed at customers who prefer maintaining a business website or online store directly through a browser without installing and administering a separate CMS.

The more managed Web Bez Starostí package costs 245 Kč per month excluding VAT. Banan handles hosting, the website application, custom visual design, content work, search-engine optimization for Google and Seznam, Facebook and Instagram activities, recurring content updates and website appearance checks. This makes the package closer to a managed website subscription than conventional shared hosting.

A Web Zdarma option is also available. It provides 1 GB of website space and access to the proprietary website system without a monthly hosting fee, although email, regular backups and the same technical-support level available with paid plans are not included. It is therefore more appropriate for testing or very small personal websites than for an important commercial project.

Banan's proprietary CMS runs entirely through a web browser and includes more than 700 prepared design templates. Customers can change text, images, menus and other website elements without installing local software. The system also includes features intended to support visibility in Google and Seznam.

The company's e-commerce platform follows the same integrated approach. It is responsive, supports an unlimited number of products and can be combined with custom graphics, SEO and ongoing administration. Eshop Standard remains free for the first 200 orders, while Eshop VIP targets larger online stores.

Domain registration is another long-established part of the business. Banan administers more than 10,000 domain names and operates under the registrar identifier REG-BANAN for .cz domains. Domain and DNS settings can be managed together with the hosting account, while additional services include ownership certificates, anonymous registration for supported extensions and domain-expiration insurance.

SSL certificates are available as a commercial service that includes certificate issuance, domain validation, installation, HTTP-to-HTTPS redirection and a final functionality check. Single-domain and multi-domain variants are available.

The broader service range includes custom graphics, SEO, PPC campaigns, business-directory listings, Facebook and Instagram management, analytics and website-content maintenance. A browser-based task-management application called Tim is also available as an additional service.

The website and customer environment are primarily Czech-language. No complete multi-language localization exists, and the contractual framework is based on Czech communication. Product pricing is denominated in Czech koruna (CZK/Kč).

Some sections of the knowledge base retain older technical information and historical prices. The complete current tariff is therefore the appropriate reference for new orders, especially where older support articles still mention previous PHP releases or obsolete package pricing.
