📄 Editorial Review
Aweb.gr is a Greek web-hosting and server provider operating since 2005. Asimia Damaskou is the owner and creator of the business, which is based in Patra, Greece. Sales activity has also been associated with Athens, while the technical department operates from Tsamadou 50 in Patra. The company has evolved from conventional web hosting and domain registration into a broader infrastructure provider with services in Europe, North America and Asia. Customer accounts, purchases, invoices and support are also handled through AWEB LLC (aweb.llc), which forms part of the same service operation. The website is available in Greek and English, making the company accessible both to its domestic market and to international customers. The overall portfolio covers Web Hosting, WordPress Hosting, Reseller Hosting, VPS, Cloud Servers, Dedicated Servers, Domain Registration and SSL Certificates. The more modern side of the business is clearly centered on VPS, cloud and dedicated infrastructure, with a 99.99% uptime guarantee and 24/7 technical support attached to these server products.
The Shared Hosting service is hosted in Greece on SSD-based infrastructure and uses Plesk. The entry Greek Hosting Starter configuration includes 100 MB storage, 1 GB traffic, two hosted domains, three subdomains, one MySQL database, one FTP account and six mailboxes. Larger configurations progressively increase these limits, while the upper packages provide unlimited disk allocation, traffic, databases, FTP accounts and mailboxes together with support for multiple domains. The hosting environment includes DNS management, webmail, email forwarding, antivirus, antispam, SSL support, CGI, .htaccess, ionCube and other standard hosting functions according to package.
The conventional hosting catalog retains some clearly older technical references, including PHP 5, Zend Optimizer and other technologies associated with earlier generations of shared hosting. The WordPress Hosting service follows much of the same Greek Plesk infrastructure rather than functioning as a completely separate managed WordPress platform. Anyone planning to run a current WordPress, WooCommerce or other PHP application should therefore confirm the PHP versions and software stack available with the selected hosting package before migration.
Reseller Hosting is also available and has traditionally combined Plesk management, SSD storage, free Let's Encrypt SSL certificates, private nameservers and one-click CMS deployment. Like the conventional hosting products, some reseller specifications retain older terminology, making it sensible to confirm the current runtime environment and resource allocations when ordering.
The VPS line is more modern and infrastructure-focused. Greek VPS servers use KVM virtualization with full root and SSH access, Custom ISO support, IPv4 and IPv6, a server-management interface, instant restart functions and free setup. The entry Greek VPS 5GB configuration costs €3.99 per month and includes one CPU core, 512 MB RAM, 5 GB storage and unlimited traffic. Larger configurations increase CPU, RAM and disk resources.
A corresponding USA VPS range operates from Fremont, California. It uses the same general KVM and root-access approach and gives customers a practical option when their audience or applications require infrastructure in the United States rather than Greece.
The Cloud Server platform in Greece is more flexible than a conventional fixed VPS. It combines KVM virtualization, NVMe storage, High Availability and full root SSH access, while resources can be upgraded or downgraded. Management functions include reboot controls, VNC console access, Custom ISO installation, operating-system reinstallation, snapshots, hostname administration and Reverse DNS.
The standard Greek cloud range starts with Basic at €9.50 per month, providing one core, 1 GB DDR4 RAM and 20 GB NVMe storage. Standard costs €21 with two cores, 2 GB RAM and 50 GB NVMe; Advance costs €39.50 with three cores, 4 GB RAM and 100 GB NVMe; and Ultimate costs €68 with four cores, 6 GB RAM and 200 GB NVMe. These configurations include unlimited traffic and one IP address.
The Dedicated Server portfolio spans Greece, Fremont, California and Seoul, South Korea. Greek configurations use dedicated Intel Xeon hardware, IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity and network speeds of up to 1 Gbps.
California dedicated servers begin with a 12-core/24-thread configuration at €81 per month, 32 GB DDR4 RAM and a 2 TB SATA disk. Larger systems extend to 20 cores/40 threads with 64 GB RAM and 24 cores/48 threads with 128 GB RAM. Linux is available, while compatible configurations can also use Windows Server.
The South Korean range starts at €90 per month with an E3-1230v3 configuration and extends to larger dual-processor systems. A GPU option combines an Intel Core i5-12400F with an NVIDIA RTX 3060, giving AWEB a useful product for GPU-related applications as well as ordinary dedicated workloads. The Seoul location also gives customers a substantially different geographic option from the Greek and US infrastructure.
Domain Registration includes .gr names together with international and newer extensions such as .com, .net, .org, .eu, .online, .shop, .cloud, .io and .co. Customers can manage nameservers and associated DNS settings through their account. AWEB also handles .gr registrations under the applicable Greek EETT framework. A .gr registration is priced at €18, although prices for international extensions vary according to extension and transaction.
The SSL Certificate range covers DV, OV, EV and Wildcard certificates. Products are available from certificate brands including Comodo, GeoTrust, Thawte, RapidSSL and DigiCert. This provides options ranging from inexpensive domain validation through organization validation, extended validation and wildcard coverage. Domain and SSL-related products begin at around €9.90 depending on the service.
