American Dominios is a Colombian hosting and domain services company founded on September 19, 2001, giving it more than two decades of continuous activity in the Internet services market. Its background covers web hosting, domain registration, SSL certificates, e-commerce, Internet security, web development and related online services. The company also has networking experience extending back to 1986.

The core service remains Linux shared hosting, with eight annual plans ranging from the small Micro package to the much larger Corporativo plan. Storage starts at 100 MB and reaches 50 GB on the largest package, while traffic allowances, email accounts, FTP accounts, MySQL databases and hosted-domain limits increase with each plan. The hosting environment includes daily, weekly and monthly backups, antivirus and anti-spam protection, firewall security, ModSecurity, malware scanning and a website builder.

Domain registration is another important part of the business. American Dominios handles generic extensions such as .com, .net and .org together with .co, .com.co and a large selection of international country-code and specialized extensions. Domain management includes DNS control, MX configuration, registrar locking, URL redirection, email forwarding, renewal and transfers. eNom has also been used within its domain registration infrastructure.

SSL certificates remain available, including RapidSSL, RapidSSL Wildcard, GeoTrust QuickSSL Premium and GeoTrust True Business ID with EV. This gives customers options ranging from standard domain-validation certificates to wildcard and extended-validation certificates for commercial websites.

Adult hosting has also been part of the portfolio, with dedicated Adult 1 and Adult 2 packages using cPanel and WebMail and offering larger transfer allowances. Availability of these specialized packages should be confirmed before ordering because they are no longer integrated as prominently into the main purchasing flow.

Reseller hosting and Windows hosting have also been part of the service range. Windows hosting supports technologies such as ASP and ASP.NET, while reseller services are covered by the hosting terms. Current ordering is concentrated mainly on Linux shared hosting, domains and SSL certificates.

Dedicated servers, Cloud and Apps/Software do not currently form an active commercial range. These areas remain unfinished product sections rather than complete services with current configurations and ordering options.

The main website has an unmistakably older design and several sections retain content from earlier generations of the service. The customer portal is considerably more modern and remains actively maintained. Account management is available in many languages, including Arabic, Azerbaijani, Catalan, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Persian, French, German, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Macedonian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish and Ukrainian. The main corporate website remains primarily Spanish-language.
