Free is the no-cost alwaysdata public cloud plan intended for personal and non-profit use. It is advertised as valid without a time limit and without advertising, with 1 GB of SSD storage offered as a gift, 256 MB RAM and 1/4 CPU share. The plan includes 3 rolling days of backups and can be used to test the platform without a recurring hosting price. It keeps access to the same technical ecosystem as the Plus family, but the free account is restricted compared with paid production hosting: documentation notes that the Free plan cannot be used for profit purposes and website creation is limited to the account's alwaysdata.net address. Email can still be associated with domain names, and the account can be upgraded to a paid offer when more resources or production use are required. Registration is promoted as free and the plan is positioned as a way to evaluate the managed platform before moving to Plus or Max.

alwaysdata runs the Free and Plus environments as a managed Public Cloud service: the account is hosted on a shared cloud platform while the system stack, security updates, database services, web server layers and operational monitoring are handled by the provider. The platform is designed for unlimited sites, email addresses and databases on paid Plus plans, with SSH, SFTP, FTP, WebDAV, scheduled tasks, background services, an API and an in-house administration interface for configuration. The software environment is based on Debian Linux x64 and supports many runtimes, including PHP, Python, Ruby, Node.js, Java, Go, Rust, Deno, Elixir, Lua and .NET, with selectable versions and automatic minor-version maintenance for major tracks. Managed databases include MariaDB/MySQL and PostgreSQL, with RabbitMQ also available, while email features include mailboxes, aliases, filtering rules, anti-spam, autoresponder and webmail. SSL is available without extra cost through Let's Encrypt, including wildcard use where suitable, and domain/DNS automation can create records for services while advanced DNS editing remains available. The public cloud service includes daily backups retained for the plan's rolling backup window, and the disk quota includes files, mail and databases. The public cloud SLA information lists GRT of 1 hour, MTTR of 4 hours and 99.7% availability. Infrastructure is hosted in France, mainly in the Paris region, on alwaysdata-owned servers and networking equipment, with RAID1 SSDs, IPv6 support, paired network equipment, multiple network operators, anti-DDoS level 3/4 protection and a responsible hosting policy based on French low-carbon electricity, limited stock and environmental offsetting. Payment methods include credit card, PayPal and bank transfer, with invoices debited from a prepaid account or via direct debit. Support for Public Cloud is ticket based through the administration interface, with sales phone contact during business hours.
