*📜 Plan description
Full 42U Cabinet includes one full rack with 120 V/20 A power (1920 W usable), a 1 Gbit bandwidth port on AS32097, PDU included, 12 fiber strands to the Meet-Me-Room, plus IPv4 and IPv6 space. Setup is $0 and terms are month-to-month, making it easy to start or scale without long contracts. The Meet-Me-Room and marketplace connectivity simplify carrier choice, and free fiber cross-connect to KCIX helps keep latency low and costs predictable. Cabinets are designed for efficient airflow and secure access, and you can add more circuits or uplinks as requirements grow. This plan is a good fit when you need a standard rack footprint, dependable power density around 1.9 kW, and simple 1 Gbit Internet connectivity bundled with the space.
Colocation at this facility focuses on cost transparency and reliability: no hidden building management or janitorial fees, centralized Meet-Me-Room, multiple bandwidth providers, and 24/7 technical support. The environment emphasizes physical protection and current cybersecurity practices, with scalable cabinet and cage options, biometric/combination/key lock choices, and structured cabling. Power, network and cooling are built to high standards, and the campus sits in Kansas City, enabling access to a large regional peering ecosystem. You can bring your own carriers, leverage IX connectivity, and request remote/virtual hands as needed to keep operations smooth while maintaining full control over your hardware.

📄 Editorial Review
1530 Swift represents one of the most significant data center developments in the Midwest, located in North Kansas City, Missouri. Operated by NOCIX, the facility builds on a long history that began in 2009 when the company, then known as DataShack, expanded beyond downtown Kansas City. Over the years, demand for modern colocation and network-rich environments pushed the company to develop a new large-scale site. The result is a purpose-built campus at 1530 Swift, situated next to the original 16th Avenue facility. When construction is fully complete, the combined campus will provide roughly 175,000 sq. ft. of data center space and 10,000 sq. ft. of office space, with ambitions to reach Tier III certification and eventually become one of only a handful of Tier IV certified facilities in the United States. Already, it has established the largest peering ecosystem in North America.
Power & Reliability
The facility is designed with redundant and diverse power delivery, ensuring resilience for mission-critical workloads. Features include:
- Dual feeds from separate substations in Avondale and North Kansas City
- Dedicated breakers and direct power lines from Evergy
- Evergy Tier 1 priority status (shared with hospitals and emergency services)
- N+1 natural gas and diesel generator backups
- Multiple power delivery options (A/B/C/D redundant paths)
This design ensures continuous operations even during regional outages.
Network Ecosystem
What distinguishes 1530 Swift is its network density and connectivity options. The campus provides direct access to multiple Internet Exchanges, including KCIX, STLIX, HOUIX, SIOUIX, SpringIX, DesMoinesIX, EVIX, OPTIX, DE-CIX Dallas, and SIX. Five diverse fiber entry points and a hardened underground vault support extensive redundancy.
Tenants can also connect to a variety of carriers, such as Zayo, AT\&T, Hurricane Electric, Verizon, Cogent, UPN, and Consolidated, alongside the locally operated KC Fiber network. Dedicated dark fiber and wave services extend to major hubs at 1102 Grand, 1100 Walnut, and 101 Holmes.
Security
Physical security is a core focus. The facility deploys 24/7/365 monitored 4K UHD surveillance cameras, with every data hall visible from multiple angles. Biometric, touchless two-factor authentication controls access throughout. Police response times average under two minutes, and secure loading zones can accommodate large freight deliveries indoors.
Cooling & Environment
To maintain stable operations, the data center incorporates:
- N+2 HVAC redundancy
- Hot/cold aisle containment with raised floors
- Rack-level sensors for temperature, humidity, and pressure
- Automated humidity regulation
- Rapid HVAC service contracts with 30-minute response times
Colocation & Infrastructure Services
1530 Swift offers scalable colocation, ranging from single cabinets to private cages, with tailored power densities. This flexibility suits enterprises, content networks, and service providers requiring secure, high-performance infrastructure.
Beyond colocation, NOCIX continues to provide affordable dedicated servers and virtual servers from its Kansas City facilities. These are operated entirely on company-owned hardware, network plant, and real estate, giving customers cost efficiency and operational control.
Additional Amenities
The facility supports customers with:
- Work areas and individual office spaces
- Kitchen and lounge facilities
- 24/7 access with on-site support
- Ample secured parking and loading docks
- Fire suppression, slab flooring for heavy loads, and flood-safe construction
