📅 - Easynet (easynet.com), a pan-European Internet service provider, said today that Avenance, a UK-based caterer and subsidiary of the £1 billion Group Elior contract food service company, has switched its network infrastructure to Easynet, using its fully managed MPLS IP Anywhere virtual private network (VPN) solution.
Easynet said that by going with a single infrastructure solution provider, Avenance will benefit from greater bandwidth, consolidated secure Internet connectivity and significant cost savings and operational efficiencies for its major sites in the UK.
"Easynet demonstrated an understanding of our needs and gave us a confidence in their abilities that we have not seen from other ISPs," said Mike Bunce, IT systems manager for Avenance. "Easynet's implementation of the MPLS IP Anywhere solution was quick and painless. We now have major improvements in performance, reliability and cost."
According to Easynet, the Avenance MPLS VPN solution consists of a 10 Mbps Internet connection and managed firewall service from Easynet's Bricklane point of presence (POP) and localised connectivity via Easynet's nearly 130 unbundled exchanges spread across the UK. The company said the network provides secured Internet connectivity to Avenance's seven main offices and, via a flat rate dial up service, 600 catering sites across the UK.
