Dec, 2003 : CoroSoft IDC Software Available for Windows
📅 - CoroSoft Technologies, Inc. (corosoft.com), a provider of data center automation software for Linux and Solaris, said today that its data center automation solution, CoroSoft Director version 2.1, is now available for servers running on the Microsoft Windows platform.
According to the company, CoroSoft Director allows IT managers running Windows servers to reduce costs, improve application service levels and increase IT asset utilization.
"CoroSoft is first to market with its ability to support the major data center operating systems with policy-based server recovery and cluster scale out," said Bruce Talley, president and CEO of CoroSoft Technologies, Inc. "CoroSoft Director v2.1 enables IT managers to control a much larger number of applications and servers with the same number of resources while also improving application uptime and reducing infrastructure cost."
CoroSoft said the software is capable of reducing the number of required redundant servers by up to 70 percent.
CoroSoft's self-scaling functionality allows IT organizations to eliminate unused infrastructure capacity and drive server utilization from 15 percent to above 60 percent on average, while still meeting spikes in user demand, the company said.
CoroSoft, based in Sunnyvale, California, said Director version 2.1 is immediately available.
