📅 January 23, 2004 - Web hosting provider LS Host (lshost.com -> hostinger.com) announced yesterday that its recently launched trio of Web hosting plans that offer support for php-powered message boards experienced significant success in the fourth quarter of 2003.

The company said that its expert support, server performance and advertisement-free pages were the key factors for the rapid uptake of the phpBB hosting plans versus providers that offer the service free of charge.
"Most of our customers explained that their decision to purchase LS Host's phpBB Web Hosting was based on the need for a performance-driven plan that provided high bandwidth and disk transfer limitations. They placed an equal value on our advertisement free environment that is supported by a Red Hat Linux certified tech team," said Dan Merton, partner and co-founder of LS Host.
LS Host's phpBB plans include Web-based email, mySQL database, and the large allocations of server space and bandwidth required to support the message forums.

LS Host said all its phpBB hosting plans include free message board set-up.
LS Host launched its php-powered forum hosting plans last October.
