📅 February 13, 2004 - EDS (eds.com) announced today it has elected long-time IT industry leader Ellen M. Hancock to its board of directors, effective February 16.

"EDS is pleased to have Ellen Hancock join our board of directors," said Michael Jordan, EDS chairman and CEO. "Ellen's strong track record of success, executive leadership experience and deep knowledge of the technology industry make her an invaluable member of our board."
Hancock most recently served as CEO and chairman of Exodus Communications from 1998 to 2001. Prior to Exodus, she served as executive vice president of research and development and chief technology officer for Apple Computer, where she was responsible for the company's research, quality, networking software development and technical strategy.
Hancock served as executive vice president and chief operating officer for National Semiconductor in 1995, responsible for the company's technology, applications and product development. She also worked with IBM for 29 years, and was appointed an IBM vice president in 1985 and senior vice president in 1992.
EDS currently has nine members on its board of directors, including seven outside directors.

Based on the survey's data, a total of 1.25 million hostnames are running Windows Server 2003, an increase of 283 percent since August of last year.
