Feb, 2004 : Keynote Launches Web Transaction Service

📅 February 17, 2004 - Keynote Systems (keynote.com), a provider of Web performance measurement and management services, said today that it has launched Application Perspective Outside Edition, a Web transaction monitoring service. According to Keynote, the service measures the response times and success rates of Web transactions from multiple geographic locations. The service also provides real-time reporting and analysis services that help enterprises diagnose and repair Web transaction performance issues.

The company said the service, designed to monitor e-business applications, reveals details about transaction performance from the perspective of the end user. Enterprises can monitor multi-step Web transactions such as credit card authentications, customer logins, product searches, shopping carts and feedback forms from 10 US cities and 6 international locations. The service measures DNS look-up time, initial connection time, SSL, redirection time, request time, base page download time, client time and content download time.
Application Perspective Outside Edition is deployed outside the firewall while Application Perspective Private Edition, launched last year, is deployed inside the firewall.
