Apr 14, 2004 : Tyler Technologies Serves Philadelphia

📅 - Tyler Technologies (tylerworks.com), a provider of information management services to government, announced on Wednesday that it has entered an agreement to provide long-time client the Department of Records of the City and County of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with $2.1 million in additional software products and services.

The Philadelphia Department of Records, says Tyler, has undertaken efforts to establish an efficient and cost-effective information resource management service for city government, enabling city agencies to better manage their records and giving Philadelphia citizens convenient access to public information.
According to Tyler, the newest agreement includes a number of enhancements to the existing CRIS+plus document recording system, currently handling an average recording volume of 900 documents per day and an archive of more than 4 million index records and 2.6 million transaction images. The new system will include end-to-end electronic recording, advanced optical character recognition, an e-commerce package and integration between the CRIS+plus system and the Philadelphia Coding and Mapping Department's Geographical Information System.
Tyler says it will also provide Web hosting services for the Department's public Internet access system, and will make upgrades to its existing hardware, software and network.
"Tyler Technologies is proud to share the City of Philadelphia's technology vision," said Steve Nieman, President of Tyler's Eagle division. "We look forward to continuing to contribute to the City's success through the implementation of our latest document management and recording technologies."
