Aug 10, 2007 : Peak 10 Enters Atlanta Market

📅 August 10, 2007 - Data center operator and managed hosting provider Peak 10 (peak10.com -> flexential.com) announced on Thursday that it has acquired a 33,000 square foot facility in the Atlanta, Georgia suburb of Norcross. The new facility is expected to be fully operational by September 2007.

Peak 10 Atlanta is the company's second new market expansion in 2007. In February, Peak 10 entered the Richmond, Virginia marketplace with its acquisition of managed hosting operator, bayMountain. Peak 10 says the move into Atlanta reflects Peak 10's strategy of expanding to contiguous markets, establishing enterprise-class data center facilities and developing a highly skilled local market leadership team for the delivery of services to its customers.

The announcement comes off the heels of last week's opening of Peak 10's second data center in Tampa.

The 15,400 square foot data center brings the company's total Tampa data center space to more than 30,000 square feet.

According to the press release, DunnhumbyUSA "collects and stores customers' buying data to help retailers make competitive pricing decisions and enhance customer relationships and loyalty."

The completion of the 15,400 square-foot facility will bring Tampa's total data center footprint to more than 30,000 square feet.
