📅 - Star Internet (star.net.uk), a UK Internet solutions provider, said Monday that it has appointed Bill Henry to the newly created role of chief operating officer. Henry, who was previously the VP of marketing and strategy at PeopleSoft Global Services, will direct Star's delivery of innovative, enterprise-level technologies to the small and medium enterprise market.
Henry will champion Star's portfolio of service offerings, designed to enable SMEs to take advantage of technologies normally considered the territory of larger organisations due to the significant investment they require. Also, he will continue to develop Star's new Managed On Demand Service, which is underpinned by IBM's Tivoli software. Henry has had over 17 years of experience in the technology and communications industries, working across five continents with companies such as PeopleSoft, Computer Sciences Corporation, Telcordia Technologies Inc. and Sprint Corporation.
