Aug 23, 2004 : NaviSite Europe Renews Hosting Deal
📅 - Managed Web hosting provider NaviSite Europe (navisite-europe.com) has extended its Web hosting contract with BDO Stoy Hayward, a UK-based accountancy and management consultancy, according to a report by Management Consultancy. The extension is for three years.
Under the deal, NaviSite Europe will manage multiple client-facing Web sites for BDO Stoy Hayward, and provide Web hosting and a development environment for an internal portal in the UK. Graham Knight, head of technology at BDO Stoy Hayward, told Management Consultancy that scalability and the ability to accomodate future requirements were key factors in choosing to renew the deal. According to the report, BDO Stoy Hayward had considered taking its Web hosting in-house. Stephen Scott, managing director of NaviSite Europe, said in the report that hanging on to customers is a major challenge in today's market as in-house teams have become the biggest competitors of Web hosting companies.
