Under the channel agreement, Dex will sell a private-labelled version of Interland's small business Web site design and hosting services as part of a new product line called Dex Web Clicks.
Designed as a turnkey solution for small and medium-sized businesses, Dex Web Clicks offers site design and hosting, as well as search engine marketing capabilities. Dex is launching the product in Seattle, where its sales force will introduce it to small business advertisers. "Earlier this year Interland announced it would focus on selling its Web site design services and online products through indirect channel arrangements, and our new partnership with Dex Media is a major step in that direction," says Joel Kocher, Interland's chairman and CEO. "We are thrilled that Dex, one of the premier Yellow Pages publishers in the country, chose Interland to help provide Web site design and online services to its customers." Dex, the publisher of White and Yellow Pages directories for Qwest Communications, publishes 259 directories and sells directory advertising and online advertising services through more than a thousand direct sales force representatives. The company has more than 400,000 customers in the 14 states where Qwest is the primary incumbent local exchange carrier.
