Nov 5, 2004 : Helm Flaw Quickly Repaired

📅 - WebHost Automation (webhostautomation.com), developer of the Helm Web hosting control panel, said on Friday that the vulnerabilities in the Helm control panel reported on Wednesday by security organization Secunia (secunia.com), have already been fixed.

Mark Hall, founder and chief operating officer of WebHost Automation, told the Web Host Industry Review that the flaws were fixed even before the report by Secunia was published.
According to Hall, the flaws were first discovered last Friday and a fix was put out this past Monday. The official patch went out on Tuesday, a day before Secunia reported the flaw.
Hall said Helm users would have all seen the fix before the report was published through the updates in their control panels. There have been no reports of compromises since the flaw was first discovered, Hall said.
