📅 - Software giant Microsoft (microsoft.com) issued a patch for a flaw in Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2000 and Proxy Server 2.0 on Tuesday. Microsoft Small Business Server 2000 and 2003, both of which include ISA Server, are also affected.
According to Microsoft Security Bulletin MS04-039, the flaw was rated "important," and could allow an attacker to spoof Internet content. According to reports, the patch was the first issued by Microsoft with advance notice. The company's new policy requires it to release the number of advisories, the products they affect and their severity, three days in advance of official security advisory announcements. Patches are available for download at Microsoft's Web site.
