📅 November 10, 2004 - Mercantec (mercantec.com), a provider of e-commerce solutions to small and medium-sized businesses, announced on Tuesday that it has released PowerCommerce 2005 featuring its new Mercantec Marketplace Manager for eBay.

According to Mercantec, the tools will enable companies to build and manage all aspects of their Web storefront, including direct links into eBay's marketplace in a single click. The Mercantec Marketplace Manager enhances online storefronts and increases market reach for merchants.
The multiple stores allow for a direct-to-consumer storefront and a parallel method for listing products for sale on eBay. Users can build and run Web sites that accommodate both variable and fixed-price sales simultaneously, speeding initial set-up and integrating numerous back-office functions.
"With our new Marketplace Manager, small and medium-size businesses can easily leverage the power of eBay's marketplace to sell key products in a way that is integrated with their PowerCommerce Web storefronts," says Bill Tait, founder and CEO of Mercantec.
